Now I'm coming back thinking I should make him more weapons based:

General consensus of the collective? (I know. There are hundreds of such posts/builds. But I'm lazy. And I haven't posted anything in a while.)

This is the build I use.
Claymore->Flamer (hides reload)->Claymore->repeat. I've tried both of your builds before, and the Acolyte build is easy mode and honestly was just too boring for me. The pure weapons build is really powerful, but I'm not a fan of just shooting, plus I prefer stagger powers if I'm going to do that. I settled on my build as a nice hybrid with plenty of weapon damage and power damage, and the combo gives you a tremendous constant stream of damage.

But I prefer javelin to claymore. Pure weapons build is boring and I prefer the destroyer and QMS for that purpose.
Sometimes, I run a flamer/melee hybrid because geth melee is devastating.

to practice headshots, u could go the GPR route + no flamer. It s fun and pretty satisfaying (for no apparent reason) for few games,

Javelin is better on a build with more weapon damage in Advanced Hardware that is leveled to six, with only 5 in Fortification. At least if you want to get your nice Geth weapon bonus.
I haven't had Flamer on my GTS in a long time because the novelty wore off. Keep in mind that no-flamer tank build needs to use good weapons if you don't want it to be frustrating since you have no active powers and only mild weapon buffs from powers. Mostly that means the weapons that would be first choice on a Destroyer, although they won't be as good on the GTS. I like Typhoon and a shotgun, but what that shotgun is depends on a variety of factors (GPS, Claymore, Raider). Alternatively, PPR with AP is alright for a primary.
Don't put the Acolyte on the weapon build.

aww, did I rustle your jimmies?
That non cannon drivel has no relevance to this thread BTW, but the superior, canon option does. Just put the geth trooper in place of the Pinnochio-bot. They are all equally annoying, anyway
skip to 2:55 for where the fun begins. The only disappointing part is that you can only pull the trigger 3 times, and can't swap your predator for a claymore, or use the orbital strike laser again.

If you want a min/max build, this is the one .. made popular by Caneigis
http://kalence.drupa...!34T52373!DA.EG
If you really want to incur derision by other posters, simply replace the Omni Capacitors with Geth Scanner
This is the most effective Flamer build hands down .. sidearm optional, pretty much only needed for Guardians, unless you want to shoot their feet with your Acolyte

Lies. Also lolz. You must think that the toasters are people.
I guess they make believable propaganda films.
On a serious note, getting the Kumbaya option isn't even hard. I have never had a playthrough where I didn't airlock Legion in ME2 and failed to achieve it, though I only take it on the playthroughs where I intend to pick destroy ending, and I have to turn away and deactivate my auditory emulators for a minute when the prime shows up and starts talking, or risk puking and ruining a perfectly good helmet when the stunlocking bosh'tet it isn't immediately deactivated via shotgun like it should be.
On Topic: I guess if you are not going to go with my airlock suggestion, the pure weapon platform trooper is best. Flamer is seriously the most annoying power ever and the less I have to see/hear of it the better.

Ironic response, considering that the Star Wars universe is one of the few in Sci-Fi wherein the machines stay within their rightful ordained place, as servants, and never foolishly and irrationally question their masters.
INB4 EU contradicts me. All of that crap is non-canon now. Get mad

Weapons platform is nice but is outshined by TSol, Quarksman & Destroyer so I only use it for melee.

Are you referring to the expanded universe? If so, that was never canon to begin with. Very early on George Lucas flat out said that nothing outside the movies would be considered canon, and Disney is taking the same attitude. The expanded universe was and always will be nothing but glorified fan fiction.INB4 EU contradicts me. All of that crap is non-canon now. Get mad
On topic: I personally love the weapons platform build. Use a Raider for close to medium range, and a Harrier for long range. Flamer should be left to the bipedaled vermin.

OT: AFAIK, there is/ was a hierarchy with movies>TV series>other media wherein if the story did not contradict anything in the next highest level, it was considered canon unless a new movie/ show came out in that time period (namely if a book didn't contradict the movies or TV shows it was technically canon until retconned otherwise)

Little do people know that if your teammates are inside of your flamer that they do 100% extra damage so try and get them inside of it as often as you can

"Canon until we change our minds" is not that far off from, "not canon at all".OT: AFAIK, there is/ was a hierarchy with movies>TV series>other media wherein if the story did not contradict anything in the next highest level, it was considered canon unless a new movie/ show came out in that time period (namely if a book didn't contradict the movies or TV shows it was technically canon until retconned otherwise)

The Trooper over heard the organics talking about, "getting fired up" while on mission, clearly the Trooper is just trying to help it's inferior organic squadmates.Little do people know that if your teammates are inside of your flamer that they do 100% extra damage so try and get them inside of it as often as you can
