Seriously, how hard is it to ADD ONE KEY that switches between four different skill hotkey bars? Pretty horrible that this is even the case in the first place, there's absolutely no excuse to give us 8 god damn skill slots.
(PC)Give us more than the pathetic 8 skill slots..

Game works fine. There are other games with far less. Stop being lazy and learn to accept change and adapt.

How is wanting more skills to use being lazy? It's the EXACT opposite. And your comment about other games having "far less" is totally irrelevant, this isn't an "other game" forum, it's the DA:I forum. It's lazy to not include a simple mechanic that alternates between hotkey selections, they have it on the console. Your apologetic attitude for cheap design choices is ridiculous, go away.

Why is this a PC-only request.
Because I play PC? I'm not going to request something when I have no experience with it, 8 slots could work okay for consoles, but in no way whatsoever is it acceptable for PC.

I'm pretty sure this is something Bioware can't win.
Origins for the xbox was rather limited in slots (though they had the radial menu as an option). For the PC, you had quite a few. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they chose to limit both parties in the interest of fairness across PC and consoles. I don't think anyone is overly pleased by this, but at the same time, I'm not sure having one side have a lot of extra slots is the best way to go either.

The Radial menu is the obvious answer, i never felt like i was missing out on anything on console while using that.

I wonder if they ran out of time, or if Frostbite had an issue with it. I haven't played Inquisition on the xbox, but I recall finding the radial menu for Origins to be acceptable. Including it in the next game, if possible, seems like a solid solution. Hopefully it can be pulled off.

I think frostbite had issues with alot of dragon age features tbh though it seems unlikely since we still have a menu we can use during combat it just doesen't allow us to access spells. I think it was an intentional design but i really hope they bring back the radial menu that way those that do want to use more spells can and those that don't can just use the slots, everybody gets what they want that way ![]()

Remember Frostbite works on other game systems, however, the RPG elements that support DAI on Frostbite are new and incomplete. That is not to say that Frostbite does not introduce a few of its own challenges as any new technology would, but they have specific characteristics and behavior.

I want the old DA:O system with skills and abilities for consoles whereby you bring up the action wheel to access the ones you couldn't hotkey to the 8 slots.

The supposed reason was that it was supposed to make fights more tactical, but all it does is cause me frustration knowing that I have all these skills but cant use them because TACTICS man.

Him wanting more buttons and abilities to keep track of and get into = he is lazy?

The 8-skill limit has been one of the worse decisions made by bioware. I was saying that even before the game came out but people kept saying to wait until I try it, but after I have tried it, the 8-skill limit sucks monkey b**** just as I have suspected.

-sigh-... I didn't say it DOES work better on consoles, I'm saying it COULD and I don't play on the console so why would I suggest something that others may not be bothered about? It's not difficult to understand o.o

8 Slots is utterly pathetic!
you give us more then 8 usable skills but only 8 skill slots WTF. ( and in my opinion i was hoping for more skills then what there are. more skills means more options = more fun.) i thought you guys hinted at better combat then the last one.
I stopped playing when i ran out of slots. i was already frustrated at the clunky controls, not being able to see where my companions are or easily switch to them when mobs are stacked on top of them . and boring side quests that just seem like time fillers like a mmo.
would love it if you had spent that time that you spent on the side quests on the main story to keep the player focused with goal in mind otherwise it just seams so pointless. please this inst a mmo, so why does it sometimes feel like one.
id come back and recommend the game if you fixed the skill slot BS
