Just bought the game; the biggest hindrance to this being a great game is the need to hold the right mouse button 90% of the time.

I suggest a keybind that will lock free look. 50% of the game is just walking around exploring the land and the constant holding of the right mouse makes it a struggle.

you can use xmousebuttoncontrol for games sometimes to do just that:

or autohotkey:

I havn't tried the Autohotkey one yet, the xmouse works but whenever you press M to view the map it resets, meaning you have to click on the button to activate the xmouse function.

Something built in would be nice, I'm not sure how Bioware overlooked this major inconvenience.

I would recommend the UI mod, but mind the warnings DAI is in an alpha state. Mod at your own risk

Not to say there are not some good works, but folks are having a tough time.  There is a lot of risk modding a system in this state, as their reps are on the line.

The primary problem for this is in the hardware module and how it scans -mods can try and cope but the module is Bioware's baby.

Holding a mouse button is a struggle? It feels a little odd, maybe, but a struggle?

Wait, so you're saying I just bought a game that's not fully completed?

Bad wording there: I meant struggle to enjoy the game.

Yeah, stuff like that should be default in games that are 'actiony' but often get overlooked.

I wonder how many people are turned off of this game cause of the lack of mouselook, that would be sad indeed

Just wanted to help, I mean before I knew about the xmousecontrol thing or autohotkey, it bothered me so much I wouldn't even play some games because of the lack of mouselook, just too irritating for me I guess.

I was really missing out on some good ones too.
