How did you not know Dorian was gay the first time you met his character?
Did he miss the I'm the stereotypical gay dude whos secretly in love with his father label on Dorians shorts?

There are no cultures that specifically represent those in DA. I've always thought that Mother Mallol looks vaguely "asian", but I guess that's also subjective.
She's an LI.
I know she's a LI, since she's a companion and you can have sex with her. As far as I know you can't really foster a serious relationship with her, sure you can have some casual sex, but that doesn't make her a LI in my eyes, Like I said before, to me she is just a FWB.

Isabella? She pretty much declares she's in love with you and will on your request abstain from sleeping with others. That's an LI.

Kaidan and Dorian dark-skinned? huh? Doesn't look it to me, unless my monitor settings and in-game brightness were incredibly messed up. Also out of all of them, only 2 are companions, 4 if I throw in Dorian and Kaidan, but neither of them look dark-skinned to me.
I think Gaider commented on Dorian on tumblr about this, Dorian is brown similarly as Indians. Even his voice actor is Indian ^^
Kaidan seems to be half-asian if I have understood right. He looks darker in ME1 than ME3 though where he's skin is rather light. Well I'm still not what ethnicity he's supposed to be but I have heard asian a lot from people ^^ His face model is latino though.

I found the romance to be very sweet. I think you should give it a shot next time you're up for playing DA2.

Oh nice. I enjoyed Isabela's romance a lot, particularly as a female character. The one I had trouble getting into for a long time was Merrill's.

Isaballe throws it any you.. No matter your race, sex, class... I saw a early review of DA2, where the guy says, "the only female that was "doable" was Isabaella, and i didnt want to, as i feared catching an std" lol...
He was rigth though.. Those were some fugly characters in DA2.. the graphics were better in the origional.. Even if they were stiff... Though the arms arent a whole lot better in Inquisition.. Open hands, arms at the sides, all stiff, and rigid.. Most noticed on Cassandra!
Merril was no prob.. Not throwing it at you, but, not difficult either.. I usually play the "good guy" my 1st time, and the bad gy my next.. Ive NEVER been able to play female.. I just dont feel "badass" when im playing as a slim , sexy-ish, female.. Ofcourse, i prefer to look like i could cave in a skull at a glance!

If we use his names as a basis for his ethnicity, Kaidan Alenko is part Asian and part Eastern European.
