Are you able to get those large ass shields that Templars and Gladiators hold?

Also is there a schematic for Cassandra's original inquisition shield and the Griffon shield you find in the beginning? I love those two shields. I sacrifice defense because the other shields look like crap. the dark spawn shields... No. That stupid heater shield... No. The Templar and Seeker shields are the same and look boring. The qunari buckler looks cheap and poorly made. Other than the first two I kinda like that large yellow/blue orlesian shield with Celenes face I think but I forget where you find it.

Honestly the only thing close to those tower shields that I've seen is the Noble Shield(Teir 3), its as big as Iron Bull

While we're at it, can someone explain to me why the unique drop of that yellow/blue Orlaisian shield has Berserking on it?  So, my tank equips a shield that makes him take double damage, in exchange for a lousy 10% damage increase?  Why would that ever be useful?

 

I was excited when i got the Dwarven shield schematics, but only until I looked at them.  The Proving shield is pretty good, but the first one I got was the "white plaster with random metal bits shoved in it" thing.  

 

The Formation Shield is nifty.  The metal changes the color of the edges, and the Cloth and Leather components change... nothing.  I hope you like the base color because it stays that way.  Best looking shield schematic I've found and it won't accept the material color. 

 

Maybe it's a bug and they'll fix it in the next patch.

Yep, it's the only T3 masterwork shield. Looks horrible, but it offers an utility slot.

Thanks you guys. I realized the large shields that some enemies use you can't get well in the way they use them. You can find ones that are a little smaller in the inquisitors hands. The Fereldan Shield looks like the shield the Blades of Hessarian Warriors use and the Tevinter shield is the same one the Gladiator uses. It would be cool to walk around with a huge as shield though however impractical it actually is. lol

 

Also the mage armors for the inquistor and Dorian have little magic books hanging off the side or on their belt. It would be cool to walk around like the spell binders with a floating book and casting spells like them. Just my opinion though.

Yeah I've seen that. It's the Magehunter shield. That thing is ridiculously huge. lol I want shields that size just not in the shape of a huge lemon peel.
