I've been trying to play DAI MP for the past few days but gave up because everytime I 'Quick Join' I'm always alone and this has been happening for the past week.

Anyone have any solutions ? Yes everything was set to random.

Are you playing at odd hours?

"Now" doesn't really answer the question. Is it an odd time in your region?

Hmm..seems unlikely there's no one playing in your region around that time, so it might be something else entirely.

Region-lock Matchmaking. The ultimate boss in this game.
It privileges players from NA and EU while it f***s up the rest.
When a player outside NA and EU can't find any a local game in his region, he should be able to connect to the more populated regions, but that doesn't happen. Instead this player gets shunned. That happens to me 99% of the time.
The only way I can play DAMP is with friends.

I would be skeptical about finding more players in NZ lobbies than in Malaysia. There is an Oceanic group on the 'Looking for groups' subforum that can certainly help you making local friends.
Nevertheless I am afraid Oceania alone won't give you enough lobbies, so I strongly suggest you befriends with as many Americans and Canadians as you possibly can. If your connection allows you (though it probably will not) befriends with Europeans as well. Have enough friends so that you can forego quick matching completely since it doesn't work in your region.
There will be lag. Playing without lag is a luxury we South-of-Equator folks can't afford. Gettiing to play the game with a group at all is quite demanding.

Yeah, it appears there are less and less Oceanics playing. I have noticed one of two things happening.

Either I join with the same people every day in PuGs or I join with no one at all when my usual 2 dozen Oceanics are offline.. most of them have also begun either quitting the game or have quit the game entirely already due to the dev BS.

People leaving the game is a global phenomenon. There are many reasons for that. But what I dislike the most is Bioware insisting on keeping the region-lock matchmaking. The community is small and shrinking, why divide it?

Anyway, I remember playing ME3 from Australia and 1 year (up to 1 and a half) after that game's release I still had the luxury of playing in all aussie groups. It is sad to know that DAMP is dead 2 months old.
The only solution now is to play with NA / EU people.

Feel free to add "russ4ua14" on PS4. Great net speed so we might be able to run together.

Just thought about it, does region lock matter when you're in a party? I regularly play with people in Japan.

Try this instead, create your own lobby and start the game and then wait for others to join.  Quite often available people will join much quicker than just hunting for a quick lobby.  Give that a whirl and see if it is any better.

Random people will join you only if you are hosting from North America or Europe. The matchmaking is region locked.

Random people will not join you from your own region?  My point was that even within a region I think you may find players quicker by starting a game and having the game populate rather than having everyone looking for a quick lobby.  This may not be the case outside of NA and Europe as you say.

I am in central Europe and the same is happening to me as well. I hit quick search and it throws me into empty lobby with me as host.

If I eventually stay and wait, people will join and then they all get stuck on loading and leave. The circle of life complete.

There aren't enough people playing this game outisde NA / EU. Here from South America, pugging is virtually impossible during primetime and definitely impossible outside primetime. I would imagine Oceania to be in a similar position.
I for one can only play the game with my NA friends.

It is a shame how the region-lock Matchmaking affects us all. When we can't find a game in our region (and in some regions we can never find one) we end up lobby-less. I don't know how the devs rationalize it.
Bioware should have used the old ME3 indiscriminate matchmaking.

yep, especially since you can play with people outside of your region just fine through friend list...

I'm also from central Europe and have (almost) no problem with quick search. Sometimes I have to try it 2 or 3 times, but eventually I will find open lobby or game.

But I host most of my (PUG) games - with few exceptions when I had to solo few games up to like 3rd or 4th stage, players will connect mostly in 1-2 minutes after I create lobby.

So maybe there are other reasons (other than region) that cause this problem

I'm in central Europe too and can't find a full lobby past 2am. But I have fun soloing games :)

It just would be better if I could choose to solo a game...

I'm in the UK and the matchmaking seems to love to team me up with Brazilians, Americans and Canadians, failing that it want's me to solo. Trying to get a match with someone in the UK is nigh on impossible. I have a friend in the UK and we cannot join each others parties, nor can we join each others games. In the unlikely event that we do manage to get into the same game, I can't hear him in game chat and he can't hear me, although we can both hear and speak to other people in the match.

This is on 360. I wonder if it is xbox or DAI MP related.

The (not so ?) funny part is that at the moment it is easier to find lobbies in ME3MP 3 years after its release than to find lobbies in DAMP, that is only 3 months old
