Have been save-scumming the Valamar chest for many times that I could count (used the manual save a first couple of times, then used the autosave instead after) I mean, this won't affect banter, will it? If anyone has save scummed before, has your banter stayed consistent?

I wouldnt call that scumbagging honestly because of how poorly designed the RNG schematics are but that's me man. 

 

With that said sorry I don't know if that's affecting your convos but for pc, I noticed a convo loop between Varric and Dorian with a dialogue option choice every time I went inside Vallamar.. Could be related
