Yeah, I don't object to Miranda's design in general, but it just doesn't fit in some circumstances, that's all. In Ashley's case, the same happens to apply to her hair. That really sounds like nitpicking, I know, but the long hair seemed kind of wrong out there on the field with her armour. Like I said earlier in the thread it would've been nice if her hair went back up in a bun during mission. Would've been a nice throwback to ME1 as well.
That's really all it boils down to for me. Sex appeal =/= exposed skin and exposed skin doesn't look right on most missions. Or make sense when we're talking about freezing temperatures, vacuums, toxic radiation, gunfights and sandstorms. ME3 was fine in this regard though since as I recall every squaddie had a set of solid armour, but in ME2 I actively wouldn't use Jack until her loyalty outfit became available.
