Okay, so, I wanted to craft a new armor and went to Fallow Mire to get more ring velvet, since the corpses drop it but not anymore. I kept killing them but they didn't drop anything at all. Even more specifically, nothing at FM drops anything anymore. I asked my friend to test this in her game and result was the same, no drops whatsoever. Has anyone else has this problem after the patch?

Actually, they do normally drop ring velvet. My friend actually had too much of it because of that. Here...

I was curious about this myself, so I went to Fallow Mire on a couple different saves. I did NOT update to Patch 3, so I am still running on Patch 2.

 

In both a save where I had cleared all the quests in the Fallow Mire, AND on a save where I had not cleared any quests yet, the only Undead that dropped anything at all were the two you first encounter upon leaving Fisher's End. None of the endlessly spawning Undead in the water dropped anything.

I've always gotten drops from the undead there, including ring velvet. I currently have a new playthrough going on, with all the FM quests undone. My friend has a playthrough with only one main mission left and that means fully completed FM. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to use something else and wait till I get to Skyhold and from there to Exalted Plains. Of course, by then there's going to be better fabrics around anyway...

whre do you find fabric anyway ? random drops from bandits doesnt give enough, its not fair that you can mine minerals and send cullen to get resources, but not cloth, josephine should bring the fine cloths in the war table, it only makes sense....

Basically you get it from looting and from enemies but you can also buy some from the furniture merchant in Val Royeaux (get to Skyhold first). Though the selection has only few cloths, nothing special.

The highever weave can be easily farmed in Valammar. Everytime you enter, you'll face few dwarfs and almost everytime they drop it. There is also a repeatable "Gather Cloth" war table mission available after scouting Emprise Du Lion.

I think you have to capture Suledin Keep in Emprise du Lion before the Gather Cloth and Gather Leather war table ops show up. Liliana brings back the best materials.

Yes, you do have to capture the keep. That's what I basically meant but perhaps bit more vaguely, though. Sorry about that.

 

 

EDIT: For some reason the corpses started to drop loot again but... it's diseased tissue (never before) and only that.
