Use facts to support your arguments. Or just show love for the Cassandra and Vivienne. The only Divine VIctorias worth mentioning.

Cassandra is best Divine.

'Cause badass warrior Divine? Badass warrior Divine.

InquisitionEpilogueSlide4-2.png

To hell with the other two, the Divine being a woman who punches bears in the face in the name of Andraste is too good to resist. The other ones are actually incorrect choices.

For real.

Interesting tidbit about the portraits: Leliana and Vivienne are both looking to the left while Cassandra is facing forward. Symbolism?

That she is the ONE TRUE DIVINE OF SUNBURST THEDAS. Viv is cool too. She doesn't have multiple personality disassociative disorder.

Dependent personality disorder would be my guess. Personality changes based on what the current object of attachment likes.

In any case, Leliana would be better off retiring. I don't know how much good or bad she could be to the Chantry, but I am sure the Chantry is not good for her.

Go back to the Warden and settle down in a little sea side cottage or something.

Cassandra is the best Divine out of all of the possibilities, though I personally didn't want her to have to join the clergy to truly make a difference.

It's as legitimate a stance as the reverse.

Sounds like a GRE question...

I have nothing against Cassandra or Vivienne; they are both good Divines in their own ways. But if you support mage freedom (even partially), Leliana is the only choice, really. For me, it's Leli > Cass > Viv.

Nah, Soft Leliana brings peaceful reform and acceptance of other races into the Southern Chantry.

I think the implementation could have been done better, but it's not like Leliana is the only person who can go on a particular path depending on what the Inquisitor says; Cassandra asks the Inquisitor, for example, whether or not she should rebuild the Seekers of Truth. The main character tends to be a source for driving certain companions in one direction or another in all three Dragon Age games.

Leliana seems to do a lot of good as Divine: opening up the priesthood to non-humans and dedicating the Chantry to the principal of charity. For people who support mage autonomy from the Chantry, they may consider her dissolving the Circle as a good thing (at least, I did). I don't think it's detrimental to her personality; she seems to come to terms with her past and her present, with the Inquisitor's help.

Cassandra potentially dedicates herself to rebuilding the Seekers of Truth into a better organization, depending on what the Inquisitor says to her, which I find preferential to her becoming Divine. Different strokes for different folks, of course.

Did your Warden romance Leliana? My Surana Warden romanced Morrigan, and was an atheist, so he didn't relate much to Leliana's faith in Andraste and the Maker. Probably settled down in Gwaren with their son, in compensation for King Alistair's failing with the Magi Boon. I find the thought of Alistair having to call Morrigan 'Teyrna' amusing.

She's also insane and can't decide if she'd rather open a nug shelter or murder any and everyone that stands in her way.

That's not really a good comparison since it's an organization with Cassandra and basically Leliana's personality with her

If you were used by everyone who said they loved you (except maybe the HOF) you'd probably be pissed and a little murderous aswell.

I love Leliana as Divine. Ever since i played through the City Elf origin in DA:O, I wondered why there were no elven priestesses. Elves have been worshipping Andraste and the Maker since Shartan, just as long as humans, but are shut out of ever becoming important parts of the Chantry. It's racist and Leliana gets rid of it.

I know a lot of people think there should be limits on mage freedom. I'm not going to rehash that whole argument here, but I disagree with you. If you think as I do that there shouldn't be limits on the rights of mages, Leliana is the way to go.

I don't understand why there is a tradition of celibacy in the Chantry. Andraste herself had an earthly husband, and had four adopted sons and two biological daughters. If Leliana is in a romance with the Warden, the devs have said she gets rid of that tradition at least as it pertains to the Divine. One more much needed reform.

Do I care that hardened Leliana achieves her reforms through violence? No. Violence is already a part of the Chantry; assassination of rivals is practiced. The people she orders killed are those who don't want the Chantry to reform, who want to keep elves and dwarves out of the priesthood, who want to keep mages locked up. If that's the price that's paid to change the world for the better, I'm okay with it.

Do I like the way unhardened Leliana gets her reforms through? Yes. She convinces her opponents of the righteousness of her reforms, gets them to follow and have faith in her. She makes them believe in her vision for the future. That is, in the words of the epilogue, "miraculous".

Yeah Cass is basically asking a close friend if a certain investment is a good idea.

Cassandra either dedicates her life to rebuilding the Seekers of Truth, or she doesn't. Leliana decides to be ruthless with her enemies, or she doesn't. I don't think the comparison is invalid when it involves how both women will focus their life. It's not an exact comparison, but it wasn't meant to me; the point was that the main character has an influence on the companions, and that's certainly the case with both Leliana and Cassandra.
