I agree. Dorian is intelligent and funny, but most people won't experience any of his character development because they can't look past his sexuality. People see Cassandra as too tough, and will never be able to observe her amazing leadership qualities and her faith that drives her actions. People will never see the good side of Sera because they're too ignorant to look past her sexuality like they do with Dorian as well.
Why can't things be different? Why can't Sera be referred to as "the fun prankster", not the "annoying lesbian"; why can't Dorian be the "wise mage", not the "flamboyant homosexual"; why can't Cassandra be the "faithful leader" and not the "masculine female"?
It's really sad that people can't see the good side of these characters because they are too busy defining them based on sexuality.
Who are saying these things? is there alot of evidence people think like this, or are you just throwing out assumptions?
Dorian is my favourite character in this game, sera is annoying only because her quirkiness seems too artificial to me.
I dont recall them stating their sexuality, or much at all (i remember sera hinting).
As for the OP and others, I'm sick of this supposed "equality" we need. If you really saw beyond race and sexuality you wouldn't see a room and point out if they are all straight, or all male, or all white etc. Perhaps one day people can just look into a room and see a room of people.
