Rampage/Dragon Rage is probably the most fun skill combo in the game.

While powerful, dragon rage is spamming the same skill over and over again. You might as well be spirit-blading. Boooooring. This ennui is coming from a Reaver that uses double critical bonus rings, sulivan's blade, and generally dragon rages for 4k per hit due to hitting sleeping / panicked targets from allies using Firewall or Sleep combo

 

Katari FTW. Variety is always more fun. Charge and bowl over a dozen enemies, mighty blow to slam the lot of them, and combat roll dodge past enemy arrows to pommel strike stun the stalker / shadow that just got up and wants to stab your ally's rear, and charge again to repeat the process if they're not all dead or continually spawning.

 

Sooooo much more fun.

I'll admit, running through a crowd, getting your armor up and then a mighty smash is extremely satisfying.

The reaver does get a little old to me. I definitely prefer the katari.

Katari is 1 of the more mobile warriors IMO. Only warrior I used combat roll on, that and his charge make him a mobile death bringer. Makes him great fun, and if it wasn't for the rampage bug I'd find the Reaver more enjoyable.

Is there like some Katari sub-culture group growing? After 10 games of the Katari I feel like crying uncontrollably in the shower. I just unlocked the Belt of Healing earlier today so I might give it a whirl.

I'm not gonna lie; the HoK rings and decent AOE weapon help. They help a lot. If it weren't for those I might struggle more with the Katari.

Atari was okay, but then Nintendo and Sega kinda made it irrelevant.

I also think the Katari is really fun. I've always enjoyed charging into the thick of it, like with the adept in ME or with a trusty shotgun in about any other FPS. I feel like I'm not super good at playing a Katari though, and that I get downed pretty quickly when unexpected stuff happens. I need more practice though, and possibly some healing items.

Katari has a better variety to playing him besides spamming dragon rage like the reaver. Charging bull is too much fun. Hoping for a shield warrior with charging bull some day.

If I had HoK rings, or if the Katari wasn't so squishy I'd be happier.

 

Honestly, overall, I'd like it if they lowered damage across all difficulties and upped enemy health to compesate, it'd make for longer games, but far more enjoyable then being downed by enemies just looking my way.

 

As it is, yes, the Katari is definately a bit more fun than the reaver. Best part of the reaver is bursting down tough things like revenants or faction bosses. The Katari is just more fun with the average mobs, charging bull, warhorn, mighty blow, and earth shattering strike, I like to cause havoc!!!!

Not gonna lie, I love the Katari. I also die a lot when I play him. But what I love about him is that you have to think on your feet and keep an eye on your surroundings all the time. I mean, this is true about all the classes, but if you get tunnel vision as the Katari and stand still too long hammering away at a group of enemies, ranged enemies will use you as target practise and you will go down like an absolute disgrace.

He doesn't dish out the same damage as the Reaver but is great for panicking, scattering, knocking down and generally spreading unrest among the enemy lines. Like, leave the big bosses to your less squishy, more dps-dealing teammates while you run around killing and disturbing the adds so they can do their job in peace.
