The funny thing is that my attempt was literally the third time that I have played the jugg. I hate that character.

Another reason to take any character you like.   Btw. Which one would that be? (Judging from your avatar it could be a Drell  )

If you're looking for something to do with your eyes closed, GI, turn on Lamer, pick Giant/Rippaz set back and have a cup of tea.

I love Drell characters but not for solo. they are too flimsy and I get scared.

I could tell you about the great solo I did long ago, I could tell you about my build and gear, but I won't. I don't even have time to tell you why I don't have time to tell you...

 

Okay 4real. Kroguard reegar with incendiary ammo against geth (giant/white). I've seen some really bad players make this solo easily under 40 min. So I think you could tackle this under 60 min 

My best solo Gold Time was 25 minutes (Dagger/ Geth

 

My longest was Giant/Juggernaut Reapers (44 min)

Take it slow and fight only a few enemies at a time if you get more than three enemies or two elites in the same location at a time run away. With proper objectives you'll easily get it with that combination.

This is what I did my first Gold Solo with:  Batarian Cheese Soldier.

 

Just select Reapers as a faction, and you're good to go.  Anything other than a Banshee can be dropped with a OSK.  It's especially easy to deplete the wave budget by taking out Brutes and Ravagers.  Just toss an Inferno Grenade at a Brute and then hit him with a Claymore blast and walk away.  The glitched DOT will drop him in about 3 seconds.  For Ravagers, it takes about 1 second. Ballistic Blades make Marauders/Cannibals/Husks a joke.  Really, the only challenge is making sure you don't get Banshee-synced, but Batarians have good movement speed, so it's easy to kite them.  

 

I failed several Gold solo attempts trying to get my first one, with various classes (even TGI) and against various factions.  I succeeded the first time I tried this build, in about 35-37 minutes, with plenty of consumables left over.  I've had Silver solos that were harder.
