yeah that would be nice. One thing I've noticed while playing as a mage is how the wind affects everything too the trees and your robes all seem to blow in the wind it's especially noticeable in places like the Storm Coast which is a really nice feature for this game. Would be nice also that if you happen to be playing the game as a long haired female character to have the wind effect your hair as well instead of having these static helmet heads. Final Fantasy has included things like this in their games as did the last Tomb Raider so it can be done. Not suer it can be added into Inquisition now but it would be nice to see something like this in future games maybe the next Mass Effect who knows? (Although I'm not counting on it but think it might be a nice idea

This is one of the most heavily requested features. You're hardly alone. The hair options in the game are abysmal, in both quantity and quality.

yeah I like the top and bottom ones. I definetely feel more female options would be good(with the wind effect I suggested earlier). Not sure it matters so much with men as most have short hair anyway unless your talking about Dwarven facial hair ![]()

The problem is they tried to go full-on unisex -- rather than have some obviously more masculine and some obviously more feminine, and letting people decide, they went as generic as possible.
Which is why the hairstyles are so generic, unstylish and uninspired for our PCs, but Josephine's hair looks amazing (for instance).

Hairstyles are not only generic, unstylish, and uninspired ... they look like plastic helmets. Seriously ... no movement at all, they stay exactly in place, clip through everything, and and and ... wow, yeah, I could go on.
Yes, this is something we've been asking for since pre-launch. You see how well it's been listened to, yes? I'd be happy if they'd just remove some of the craptastic hairstyles from previous games, and give us back some of the not-so-bad ones ... like the shoulder-length with braids, for example? The Leliana style? Pft.

At this point, I would be ok(ish) just removing the bald patch from the present hairstyles for female (or at least add the same option without the male balding patch) and letting the players use the already in game hairstyles of Calpernia, Cullen, Cassandra, Morrigan, Josephine, Leliana and Sera. All there hairstyles are already in game, but the player can't use them.
Or at least give us back the DA2 hairstyles. I would already be happy. ![]()

While I feel the hairstyles for men in both the character creator and in the game are ok and certainly better than in DAO, I really hate when almost a 1/4 of the female NPCs in the game are using Krem's hairstyle (and my male Inquisitor's, lol). With Krem I have no problem, it is explained why and it feels right, but on other female NPCs it is at least to me hideous and it doesn't make any sense. Do they all want to be a man or is my Inquisitor's and Krem's hair the latest fashion hit in southern Thedas? ![]()

I like long hair and more varied hair for the men, too (Qunari, Human and Elf, please). Nexus mods had a plethora of hair mods for men and women for the earlier games and I used them to my heart's content, since BW never released any themselves. I prefer long-haired elves and warrior types. ![]()

I love the DA series. However, I am disappointed in a couple of aspects of Inquisition. I agree that the hair style choices are pitiful. Sad. Unimaginative. I don't want a shaved head or slicked back off the forehead. Need bangs or long no bangs, longer styles, etc. I am female and want my character to look female, not androgonous.
Maybe a future patch?
The second aspect I will address in another topic.

I've played through 2 1/2 times, only used the the quest/collectors mounts, never bought bought the dozen or so listed in the shop. I really wish the resources were instead spent on making more varied hair options for female AND male characters.

You've hit the nail on the head, this is EXACTLY the issue.
With Inquisition, Bioware tried to make so many things "gender-neutral." While I admire that effort in theory, in practice all it does is severely limit player options, and than in turn limits a player's ability to role play in the game.

If you want more hairstyle, then pass word on any social media you can that DA:I modders are looking for help.
So far the hairs aren't stable even just swapping them, they just go black.
So please, pass the word and tell people to check this site if they can help : http://daitools.free...s.org/index.php

I am going to keep asking this question until Bioware coughs up some answers: What the hell ever happened to THESE hairstyles? The ones they had ready to preview, you know, a year ago?

Just going to borrow this as reference ^.^
There's a ton of threads on this, so I'm gonna guess that Bioware is at least aware of our wants ^.^ I'd love to see some of the old styles re imagined for Inquisition....there were some nice ones in Origins and DAII. Can we see those again? I'm okay with the hair not moving a whole lot. I figure hair physics is kind of tough to toss in, particularly at this stage. I'd love to see more braided styles. I feel like the ones they put in their character models from a while back would be really nice. They don't look insanely masculine/feminine (if one of Bioware's goals is to avoid hairs that lean one side or the other), and I wouldn't think they'd have major issues in terms of clipping (given that the length is about the same as their current longest hair). As for female dwarf's braid...when the armor seems to have room for something of that size. It just tucks into the collar nicely.
I can see how male Qunari might run into issues with longer hair (my Adaar has a tendency to clip into his heavy armor collar), but I still think a few more varieties could be implemented without too much trouble. Is there a reason the hair can't go around the horns in a regular, loose style? Particularly if they don't have to worry about hair physics. But I've never created hair models before, so I'm kind of just running my mouth.
More hairs please Bioware ![]()

Have they found a way to have those on console? if the answer is no, than is just a solution for PC player. That means it doesn't resolve anything. Supporting mods help only PC players, and kill most of the complains from console players. ![]()

An answer would be nice. Since not a word have been said about it. My male elf would have been great with those braids. ![]()

I'd like to see more horn options in line with DA2 for qunari, and qunari eyes... now they're so "pretty", like big elves with horns.
The arishok was awesome, the qunari in DA2 were awesome (if a tad unvaried). We need to capture a little of that, including the armor since qunari inquisitors get to use so little.
