Bioware, can we expect the next patch to address PC UI/control issues?

Kind of curious if Bioware will indeed patch the controls to be similar to the past DA games, like auto attack, auto walk to location, tooltips on the bar etc or this it?

I'm not sure it's worth patching the controls at this point. Most have probably gotten used to the scheme we have now.

I'll give you the UI, though, especially concerning the amount of abilities we can have primed for use at once-- though I doubt they'll change that.

I think Patch 3, much like Patch 2, showed us that it may be best for us to wait before they introduce even more issues because of rushed fixes. They mentioned they will be addressing the PC concerns in future patches, and we got a taste of that with the walk toggle, but I want them to take their time. It's getting old doing playthroughs without keep imports since I haven't even upgraded to P2 yet due to the insurmountable issues which P3 seems to have compounded. I think they should get a handle on some of the gamebreaking issues before working on quality of life for PC. And I say this as a PC gamer. Can't enjoy the controls if you can't play it due to constant (P3) CTDs and show stopping bugs.

I don't think the patches are so bad you need to avoid them completely. Why not give them a try and see how you get on?

Worst case scenario - you take the patches, create the new playthroughs you want with the Keep, then delete the patches if you don't like the changes.

In all seriousness... probably someday. Maybe. Eventually. Could be.

I would also love for them to take their time, I just think that if they do they'll end up leaving everything as is as they may not see a point in updating it anymore.  :(

I've updated to P2 for a bit. Most of the issues there were with cutscenes freezing, and quest bugs that I didn't want to run into when spending hours on a character, so I reverted. Not going to update until the first story based DLC forces me to.

I don't think so, they have story DLC on the way and they won't be getting sales if people are still struggling to play the game with constant CTDs, cutscene freezes, or mid playthrough bugs that require you to restart for a chance at a successful playthrough. At least that seems the most common sense thing to do, but who knows you may be right. All I know is they need to stop rushing out patches and make sure that they fix old issues without introducing new ones.

Certainly some UI changes which are super minimal like tooltips on the hotbar, that's a looooow hanging fruit. They'll pick that, at some time in the future.

I dare not hope for anything more, at this time - I have seen no indication that the developers even concede that their PC UI blows.
