They are indeed dying with the way the Dalish are going about it, but their demise isn't inevitable.

Of course it is, all peoples demise is inevitable some are just closer than others. The elves, like the dwarves, are getting close to the brink. The humans and the qunari are the powers of this age. The elves and the dwarves are a past glory.

Also, its not a lack of hugs, its more garbage like "everything the humans have is built on the bones of the elves" and nonsensical rubbish like "the elves used to live forever".

Nothing lasts forever and everything is linked to everything else. The elves arrogant delusions about their "immortality" and their claim to ownership of things they have no claim on annoy me.

Calling the knight enchanter an Elven art. My knight enchanter has nothing to do with elves, any more than use of a fireball or sword connects another.

One thing i like about dragon age is nothing is one sided. Flemeth even casts doubt on her own "godhood" so i know my views are about on as solid groud as most others.

I know, because I'm a human supporter too, except for Orlais, and I get annoyed at seeing everything pop up and it's elves this elves that. But, I've learned to just embrace it, because guess what? It's true bruh. May as well roll with it.

As i already said, dragon age rarely presents anything that doesnt allow for multiple viewpoints based on your perspective. Mine is that the elves do themselves no favours believing they were and are something they are not. Nothing about the elves says "truth" that doesnt allow itself to also say "delusion".

Um, Inquisition pretty much confirms that yes, the elves did live eternally, due partly to the veil not being a thing, and it also has been shoving elven culture in your face pretty much saying "I'm not saying it was elves... but it was elves," all over the place.

 

I suggest you just get over it tbh? And spirits, gods... what is a god but a very powerful spirit/being? Semantics.

Solas was one of my favorite characters from very early in the game, and remained so throughout, even not knowing what he was. I thought he was an interesting and well-written character with a refreshing perspective on the DA universe. The reveal at the end just made him even more awesome.

I don't really get why some people think he's a jerk though? I found his personality quite likeable. He was a dick to me about romancing Sera, but that's not enough for me to label him a jerk. I mean, almost no one thinks that's a good idea. Including me.

I never got the jerk vibes some people got either. In fact his dialogue with Cassandra was giving me the complete opposite vibe. For all this 'elven glory' talk he's extremely respectful to her and her faith, even saying he's open to it himself. No disrespect or superiority whatsoever.

I talked about him endlessly before the game came out and continue to do so because he lived up to my expectations. He's an interesting character and I enjoy the discussions. What of it?

I recently ordered the Flavors of the Month, just because of this thread, and I was distraught that I didn't get a Solas.  I instead got an Amber and next month I'll get an Indian Pale something...I'm not complaining though as I'm now drunk.

Sorry, but every races comes with a history, and I won't be colorblind to that. Some are still mistreated than others. So no, there isn't just the human "race" as long as prejudices still exist, but I won't get into this.
