Everything seems to be building up to this, 2 gods revealed, morrigan's old god child and sandal is gone so they most be saving him for something big!

Huge reveal about the gods in the temple of mythral saying how fen'harel did not betray the elves. Also that tevinter did not defeat them, they had a civil war:

Which also leads to the elven gods vs the forgotten ones (civil war between all gods.)

Also here you can see that these elven gods are draconic in some form or another and uses a dragon as a guardian.

Altar-of-Mythal.png

Then you see that the "old gods" (tevinter ones) are all dragons. The similarity between how an archdemon essences can jump from one host to another, is similar to what the elven gods can do. And these gods are said to be trapped in the "eternal city" in the fade, which sounds awfully like the city the tevinter mages went to.

ALSO!

The tevinter mages went to the fade to the golden city about 200 years before the chantry was formed. so back then when they went into that place they didnt even believe or know about "the maker" they went there to the "city of the gods" aka those trapped elven gods, but corphyeus said it was empty. (since mythral entered flemeth somehow perhaps they found a way to escape?).

As for the blight, and how that came about it is hard to say. Any one with theories on how the blight came about please say. (maybe just the sideeffect of physically being in the fade for along time?)

With this in mind, what then is the maker? just a fabrication? his lack of presence means this could be the case, so what then of the chantry?

Yeah, if and when this happens, it will most likely be in the last game.

While they may not have called him the Maker that doesn't imply that a creator/predecessor didn't exist in the lore of the Dragon Pantheon that has been lost, sort of like the Titans come before Zeus and the Olympian Pantheon.  In this case however less of a power struggle and more of an absentee father figure/impartial observer.

Alternatively you could look at the dragon pantheon from an agnostic light where the ancient tevintar viewed the Maker as either unknowable or uncaring about organized religion, so thus they built their religion around reverence of the Ancient High Dragons that empowered them and led them to destroy the last stand of the age of elves, fractured as though they be at the time.

Enough of the chantry/maker/gods/demons BS please. DA 4 will be a Spartacus version of Tevinter.

I can't find a source right now, but it's been said they've planned the story up to DA5

Andraste didn't make up the maker. According to the lore the Maker was a ancient Deity the proto-tevinter tribes and the later Tevinter Imperium belived created the world but had left the world they called the maker a different name but apparently its the same deity.

After Andreste burning Tevinter abandoned the worship of the old gods and created their own chantry headed by the Archon as both head of state and religious leader which ended when it summited to the Orlaisian chantry but kept its own traditions and beliefs which would led eventfully lead to the recreation of the imperial chantry under the black divine.

Bioware said we're done with the chantry/south in the DA franchise for now. But I have a feeling we may be getting into ancient elven history, especially with the move to northern thedas.

Neither Solas or Flemeth are Gods though. They may have been remembered by history and worshiped as Gods, but they aren't. Kieran doesn't even exist in many playthroughs, can't make him a major element to the story.

Even if they were, they wouldn't make the next game the "battle of the Gods." They'll likely save that for last.

We don't really know what they are to be honest. But even if Kieran doesn't exist, the Old God soul of Uthemiel will probably show up again.

At best, we can assume that the "souls" of these Old Gods and Archdemons are powerful spirits. Solas states that for spirits, death is a different then for mortals. Meaning that they have the potential to return - not exactly as they were but still. The soul of the Archdemon could show up. Just without Kieran. And since Kieran doesn't have it anymore...he himself doesn't really matter.

Well we know "Old Gods" are actually just Dragons ancient Tevinter used to worship.

Solas often detests the idea that Mythal was God, or about any of the Elven "Gods" are actually God-beings. Since he has more insight to the truth than any of us, it's wise to take the idea that he, Flemeth, and anyone else mentioned are actually Gods, with a grain of salt.

But you're right, we know nothing for certain.

Even if the next DA Is a war of the gods that doesn't have to mean the end of DA I am sure they could come up with plenty more stories.

Also I agree. Gods is some what subject to interpretation. Beings of a higher intellect, knowledge and technology perhaps but gods is a stretch. Then again what makes a 'god' is someone believing in that god's faith so to speak. People might have elevated them to godhood because they are more advanced, but that doesn't entirely mean that's what they are.

Ancient Dwarfs, those who created the deep roads and thiags had more knowledge then the current Dwarfs, Ancient Elves the same deal, no doubt other races as well like perhaps the Qun. Its easy to see how the DA current versions of those species might view them as gods. If anything should prove that it's how quickly the world was willing to believe the Inquisitor was the 'Herald' when in fact she/he is not.

This game had a lot of reveals in it but somehow I think there are plenty more to come.

The bad guy is Corypheus again. Yes you killed the guy, but that didn't stop him before. And by him I mean David Gaider.

So Cory has opened another hole in the fade, but this time is common people walking in by the millions rather than demons pouring out. They get tainted as they approach the city. Basically blight in the fade.

You play as Andraste. You gotta close the breach and kill all the filthy knife ear gods. Alternatively you can have sex with them in a mega dark ritual bacchanal of sorts. Companions: the Maker, the spirit of Dumat, traitor elven god Mythal, Oghren.

Maybe next game is DA:warden's shadow

In unknown land, HOF captured by darkspawns and forced turn to darkside.S/he will be the new boss.

Honestly I just a little bit tired about how bioware treat former main characters. Im positive sure that inquisitor will become missing/unavailable in the next game. To minimize variables you know.

The game is, IMO, too broken to be fixed in three to four patches. Skyrim needed patches until version 1.9 something before they stopped and even then, players still used Unofficial Skyrim Patch made by the modding community...

I believe that DAI will undergo the same fate...They will need to push out a lot of patches..

firstly...did they make enough money for da4

2ndly by that time period they'll be much better competition all around, they wont have the advantage of the "only rpg on ps4", if their efforts and methods are like this last 1 then the franchise may be retired

The game is pushing 3 million copies over all platforms (more maybe on PC as I'm going off disc copies from VGchartz) and sold a lot more than DA2. True profits of a games development come from sequels as resources/models etc are used again with slight tweaks and improvements. It's just a matter of time.

This said, on topic, no god stuff next time please, sure have it as a very once mentioned side thing if you want but some of us just want a game set in the DA world without conspiracy crap.
