Come on Bioware, who thought this would be a good idea? remove the pots and simply increase the amount of coins earned on objectives and round 5, or give us gold for every round completed. fighting enemies or completing an objective takes priority and often pots will be missed/avoided. Its getting to a point now were people cant be bothered to backtrack and even when they do, they have to hit a pot several times for it to actually break. Its a waste of time, and I don't blame for ignoring them.

True the pots are kind of annoying, a lot of people don't even bother with them, so for people that want the gold, you end up behind everyone and miss half of almost every fight.

I think it comes down to not wanting to reward people for speed running the maps.

When I'm solo'ng I don't bother with pots just the open the treasure rooms and that's it. On PuGs though you'd generally have people who collect the pots.

I like the pots.

They are the multiplayer equivalent of Elfroot...

This right here. They could have just made it so that the gold goes automatically to your inventory when you break pots/open chests, but you have to go all the way to the gold and pick it up..

Yeah, it would be really useful if all the pots were in some kind of central location at the end of a run. A kind of pot dispensary.

You know what a big problem for newcomers? Health! Make the pots give health upon breaking. I think medicinal pot would be a great replacement to what we have now.

I hate going out of my way for pot.

You are exactly what is wrong with pots for people that actually want the gold, we have to pick it up while you just run ahead and you still get the benefits while making no efforts whatsoever, I'd rather be killing mobs too instead of getting the gold for every assholes. ._.

Equally, you are getting all the free xp from his killing efforts.  It runs both ways.

As I said, I would much rather be killing things too, that's what the game is about, not breaking pots simulator 2015, he actually make the choice of skipping all pots and forcing someone else to get all of them if they want the gold, it's so nice when in a group everyone just take the pots or the gold when they see it.

Ya but XP is only important to board chasers. Everyone else wants XP but their priority is gold. This debate will never end. For me, gold is the only reason I run through a zone and I'm gonna get it... no matter how fast you run ahead. If we wipe, you'll be pissed at me and I won't give a crap because I will still get my gold.

Is this part where I'm supposed to jump in and remind the Leprechauns and SpeedRacers that extreme looting lowers your XP/Gold per hr runs, as well as skipping treasure rooms.

Some players just refuse to believe that looting all possible (or most) vases actually slows you down. I hit the 1 Mill wealth banner quite some time ago by balancing between looting and raiding. I spent a few hours last week playing with a few players moderately discussing the topic. What noone appeared to be paying attention to was that our XP and gold/hr rate was extremely low. Once our game sessions were over I was happy to return to random pugging (ikr) where I got my normal rates back.

The moment I start analyzing a game in terms gold per hour instead of "am I having fun" is the moment I'm done with that game.

If I wanted an endless grind I'd go back and play Ragnarock Onlime again.

Edit: much like Corona one should add lime to cover up the flavor.

Unless you're in a group focused on "speed running," this is a load of crap. I seriously doubt that it is ever true but you can have the benefit of the doubt on that point. With the correct setup only one person needs to enter the treasure rooms. A good assassin can one-shot revs and horrors. I don't mind that people have different priorities but saying one or the other is absolutely correct is foolish.

Simple solution: group with like minded people. In my experience, very few people in pugs give a hoot about gaining XP quickly.

Also, hitting the 1 mill gold earned thing... that is a result of playtime and not your strategic choices. GG tho
