I still don't know why some people find Atari games with the least dialogue, no voice acting and short story (aka piece of crap) interesting. Only thing that mattered for Atari games was GAMEPLAY.

It looks like something you'd find on an alien space ship in an 80's sci-fi flick!

Well, it is from 1971 so isn't surprising it looks very outdated :P

Atari was pretty cool, I'll agree it was total gameplay and early onset imagination for those who were being "entertained".Like Pitfall was my favorite atari game.i use to imagine the guy you played as was running from time cops, who were sent out to kill his family and he was lured away into the forest.where he was suppose to die from nature.and the more time it took to get back the less chance he had of saving his family.reading that, wow i had a super active mind as a child.no wonder im this creative or crazy.depends on how you look at it lol

Atari made good games, shame they got so arrogant that they thought people would lap up a sh**y game like E.T just cos it had their name on the packaging

Back in 90s in people of my country would play consoles and games that were like 10 years old!

My favorite Atari games:

Burnout...but I'm guessing Burnout Paradise was their last hurrah. Split//Second came close to that type of game, but likely didn't garner enough sales.

Yeah, bring back Split//Second. :P

This was one of my favorite games on the Sega Genesis. I remember renting it from Blockbuster over and over again.
