I am curious now but which controller would be best for DAI PC version?

After watching the interview with Mike about how DAI was made for PC....in the end of the interview....."we hit button A" and everything went as smooth as silk........really?!

That's a PC controller and not a keyboard and mouse.....

I honestly think mouse and keyboard are fine ...ish. Holding down the left mouse button is still annoying, but the tactical camera is easy and kinda intuitive to navigate after a while. There are more issues with the UI in general, like missing hold / free move command (or at least a hold command that would actually put the characters on hold and wouldn't get overwritten by ordering an attack), click to move in 3rd person, not being able to select multiple characters, not being able to zoom out the tactical camera through a ceiling, and so on. The game was obviously made for consoles and being lied to a face sucks big time, but you can handle the game with mouse and keyboard better than with a controller.

There's no reason to get anything but an XBox 360 controller. It will be interesting what the "go to" will be once Microsoft stops making the 360 controller.

Wired Xbox 360 controller, working as smooth as always.

I use the X360 one and it's pretty good. Some actions seem to take more time on the controller than the keyboard but that's just part of the inherent limitations of a controller. Still, it's pretty good having the force feedback.

Reminds me of Ubisoft and WD :D or you know, Casey Hudson and the ME3 ending, that absolutely won't be A-B-C :D

The wired Xbox 360 controller is SO easy to plug-and-play with on a PC.  As long a game accepts controllers, you're golden with that.  You can get a pretty nice one for only 'bout $20, so it's not that bad.

Well, he wasn't wrong. ME3 endings weren't A, B and C. It was Ared, Ablue and Agreen ... but enough of that, no point in beating a dead horse.

I've learned long enough not to trust marketing, they'll say anything to get into your wallet. The offense I take is not that the controls and various other aspects in DAI aren't up to what marketing said ... it's because they aren't up to a standard that I expect. A standard that includes the ability to use more buttons than a controller has, to use the most widespread example. A keyboard has a lot more keys to map actions to than a controller. Hell, it goes 1-0, or if you'd dare to think about not using the number keys, goes F1-F12 (or let's be really adventurous and say 1-0 AND F1-F12, the shock!). My mouse alone can bind 14 keys, ffs.

used to be that the PC platform was open to all matter of game control schemes.  But apparently these days, the only controller that is natively supported is Xbox360.  My least favorite of the 16 button controllers.  I much prefer PS3 layout, and honestly Logitech makes the best controllers for PC in my opinion. Yet hardly any games offer native support for those controller types.  So you have to rely on emulators, which means a mixed bag with vibration feedback, and on screen tool tips for Xbox when using a PS3 controller.

I use the 360 controller sold as a package with the wireless dongle. Works flawlessly on the PC and I can still use it with my Xbox if I so choose.

I use flycam a lot and the controller makes moving that thing so much easier.

I use a tool called DS4 to fool Windows into believing my PS4 controller is a 360 one. Saved me money, since I already had a Playstation 4, and I have tried to use it - with success - in DAI. I prefer K/M at this moment in time, though.

I used to use something similar, particularly when I first started to play Skyrim. Then I just realized it made me feel safer to just buy the 360 one and be done with hack programs that display ads to rather questionable porn sites. I think the one I used to use was MotionJoy. Then I switched to DS3. Then I just bought the supported Microsoft one.

...I have never used either of those, and thankfully DS4 has yet to present me to pornographic content. XD

I got some that pushed me past my comfort zone of what I would consider legal. I was immediately like NOPENOPENOPE, uninstalled and bought the "real" controller.

Ever since then I've been pretty soured to "hack" type programs. I have a new computer now and nothing but legit stuff gets installed.

I tried to play with mouse and keyboard for about a day or two until it all drove me complately crazy. I guess it is all about personal taste, as some people appear to think it is quite OK. I bought myself the cheapest Logitech controller I could find and gave it a try. As it was the first time in my life I had ever used a controller I was "confused" for an additional day or so, but once it all settled down in my head the game just came to life in a very different manner. That experience by itself made me personally realize that this game was NOT originally made for PC users. It really isn't...

I tried using a USB controller on Inquisition of the PC. The game options do not even allow the controller option to be selected.

I set basic attack to "e" anyway. So attacking is quite... Easy for me.
