Man, I'm sure glad mind-probing spirits like Cole don't exist in reality, because people would be accusing me of all kinds of weird sh*t if they saw what was going on in there. Privately.

Tell me about it! All our sins laid bare!

Right from the horse's mouth. But I suppose the fandom knows best. (Disgusted noises)

As I said, nothing that the characters in question (or their writers, even) say or do will deter "shippers".

Cassandra & Cullen would make more sense, IMO.

I do think it is interesting though how fans like to ship characters who don't get along/argue.

Lots of arguing gets automatically mistaken for sexual tension.

No. To each their own, but just like Javik/Liara i think the idea of this pairing sucks.

Sometimes its just tension, nothing sexual about it.

Varrics interactions with Cass in DAI were actually quite annoying which is a shame because i love Varric. Not as much as Cass but still.

Anyway I desperately wanted to say to Varric "I know Cassandra had you interrogated, but in case you forgot, you unknowingly enabled a terrorist to carry out mass murder..... so yeah, stop whining".

Plus I think Varric and Bianca are a cute not!couple, so that kinda makes the whole thing moot for me.

Ehm, Varric doesn't want anything to do with Anders anymore. Don't you think it's kind of unfair to blame him for what his friend did, especially since he cut his ties with the guy after he blew up the Chantry? Cassandra had every right to interrogate Varric, but her technique sucked. You can't go all bad cop on him and expect him to respond favorably.

Sorry GTS! this here is internet and people tend not to have their own way of responding, they are pretty much unable to put sentence together to state their mind when disagreeing without saying "troll" it means they can't give valid response so they go with something a 5 year old says when someone has different opinion. Not to mention "let's stalk your history to see have you ever said something wrong so we can quote it all over forum". It is main reason why I stopped being serious about this forum lol trust me not worth it.

But back to topic...is topic is this Varric x Cassandra or Rainer x Josephine? lol

There are pairings you just go "whatever" and then there are pairings like this one. Do not want.

Not really. He doesn't want anything to do with Anders anymore, but doesn't change the fact he protected Anders from the Templars so if he didn't do that none of this would have happened.

He did it before Anders blew up the Chantry. He doesn't protect him after the events of DA2. He had no way of knowing what Anders would do, and he isn't guilty of Anders' crimes. Anders is the only one responsible for his actions.

Im not blaming him for what his friend did, i just think he got a bit one note when it came to Cassandras treatment of him. When shes not around hes actually quite good at accepting his responsibility for part of what has happened. Scatch that, because he goes too far and completely blames himself for everything.

I like Varric a lot, but he seriously needed a more balanced approach in his interactions with Cassandra. Its a shame because when she brings up Bianca and he brings up her romantic life they make a good common ground. Just whenever it comes to Cassandra, its all "you was nasteee to meeeee! QQ"

Ironic really since all Cassandra had done was have him possibly knocked out, thrown into a chair and then stabbed a book betwee his legs.

Hardly the realms of waterboarding or pulling fingernails.

Yeah, he's a bit petty. But I do think that things would've been very different if she had approached him differently. He's not the kind of guy who respond well to violence. Stabbing a guy between his legs isn't the best way to start a friendship.

It's a shame, they could have made an awesome team.
