@threeF: that's perfectly justified! Sometimes there are just characters you don't like (or actors, or people, or whathaveyou). I don't think you necessarily always have to have a reason. Since it's a personal opinion, like liking ham. I am suddenly wanting to watch the scene in Pulp Fiction between John Travolta & Samuel L. Jackson. Pigs are filthy animals, I don't eat filthy animals. ... ... ... If a pig had a better personality, would he cease to be a filthy animal?
The judgment scene -- I think Blackwall's response is a mix of jumbled emotions. He's mad at being saved, at you, for what could be compromising yourself, at him, for being the person you are compromising for, and him again for making the disastrous mistakes that lead to this in the first place. Sometimes people don't like it when you do things for them, and this was the case here.
Blackwall gives the talk early on at Skyhold, about the person you follow being very important. You are who you follow. He is trying his best to be a good person, and if he is going to follow, then he has to believe the inquisition is good also. He doesn't want to go down the path of following another corrupt person, so he gives those idealistic speeches.
I think after the judgment, when the truth is out, if he is either freed or sent to the wardens, he'll be able to move forward. Not need to cling so hard to the ideals of "goodness", and just be good.
edit: It would be fun to watch his eyes get open to the Grey Wardens. I always want the HoF to come take him to Soldier's Peak, and hear the history with Avernus.
