It's pretty much the same. The Dorian/IB thing doesn't even trigger if you don't put them in your party to have the banter. Same with Joise and Black.  So even if the game worked the player can still avoid it and not have it as a part of their DA experience.

To be fair in that case you never know about Blackwall's thoughts and the whole thing is a non-issue.

Just because you don't see it or avoid it doesn't mean it didn't happen, not everything has to revolve around the player all the time

Josephine still marries Otranto, and I think you don't even know about it unless you romance her

Noooooo

Then again...he wasn't that bad so he might be good for Josie. Better him than Blackwall anyway.

That's true. In my game I only know that he likes Joise and Viv mentions him following her about in a very rare piece of banter I got. That's basically it, which is why I took it as him stalking her.  I didn't know about the naked thoughts until it was mentioned in this thread but I can't fault the guy for that.

Considering the fact that rumors spread like crazy within the Inner Circle and my PC is the head of that circle, then yeah everything sort of does revolve around him.

Otranto was somewhat cute, imo. My husband's ugly but saintly Qunari dude romanced Josephine and I almost felt bad for Josephine having to make that choice. Almost. :P

Apparently you do. And yep I'm gonna keep on calling him a stalker just to p*ss you off now. ^_^

And please spare me the "it's canon cause it's coded into the game" nonsense. If that was the case then it wouldn't matter if a player picked the Templars or Mages because "it's programmed into the game" So I guess that means the IQ picked both. There is a reason why people have what they consider to be "canon gameplays" What happens in their game is canon and what didn't happen simply doesn't exist in their world. So if Blackwall and Joise doesn't happen in my game it isn't a reality for my story same with Dorian and IB.

But by all means, continue to throw b*tch fits over how everyone else plays their game.

Yeah, you can keep calling him a stalker - the only thing that does at this point is to make you look foolish. But hey, please, be my guest and continue to do so! I don't really have a problem with it when other people do my work for me all on their own just by opening their own mouths. Honestly, I actually do appreciate it - because now I won't even have to lift a finger to point out just how completely ridiculous your position on this issue is.

My point was that the accusation of Blackwall being a stalker is completely and objectively false. This - my interest in actual facts - is why I've defended Bull against accusations that he is an abuser in an abusive relationship with Dorian. People can headcanon the stupidest crap on the planet if they want in their own games, and really, I don't care what they do so long as they're not making provably false statements.

I remember Blackwall and Josie passing love notes to one another but I never heard this him fantasizing about her nekkid banter. Lol 5 playthroughs how do I keep missing this stuff? xD

Semantics my foot. I'm not saying there's any stalking but calling passing notes a relationship is absurd. Being sexually attracted to one another and passing love notes does not a relationship make.

And penpals don't have a "real" relationship just because all they do is exchange letters and communicate long distance? Yeah, they (Blackwall and Josie) might limit themselves passing notes from what we do know of the banter, but I could have sworn there was also some banter indicating that they were off together and met somewhere secluded in Skyhold (it is possible that I could be remiss about this, of course).

The fact that you think I have any other position on this besides laughing at you is hilarious.  :D

You have to acknowledge a relationship. Particularly since this is more than a acquaintance or friendship. If you can show me them admitting to a relationship by all means do so. He'll anything that shows them considering themselves together would work.

A hobo in need of a good scrubbing perhaps, but to date, I don't recall that from any Vivienne dialogue that I've heard or seen - if you have proof that it exists, feel free to share! At any rate, considering how b---y Vivienne is compared to me, I'm sure she would have taken that shot if she actually could have gotten away with it! Hmmm, but maybe she missed the Josephine-Blackwall banter due to bug and is headcanoning it that way - who knows!

Passing notes to each other isn't an acknowledgment that they're interested in each other? Well, whatever - we'll have to agree to disagree on whatever thing it is they have - a flirtation, a courtly romance...whatever - at any rate, they are obviously communicating with each other in some fashion and there is evidence that the feelings are mutual. Alas, I don't have an eidetic memory and can't pull up the pages where I saw people describing some of Josephine's reactions/responses (I just remember something about either flowers or a handkerchief or...a favor? Eh, it's been too long since I read that post).

This banter doesn't exist to my knowledge. I was told by people who worked on the characters that they never get physically intimate. Even Josephine ingame says this.

Interested in one another =/= in a intimate relationship. Even if the feelings are mutual. I flirt incessantly with my friends back and forth. That does not mean we're in a relationship. FemQuizzy can flirt with Dorian constantly and he flirts back. That doesn't mean they're in a relationship.

Enjoying flirting with someone does not mean you're in a relationship with them. Which is why I'm asking for some proof of them actually considering themselves in a relationship.

Out of curiosity, what does constitute an intimate relationship?

What I already said almost constantly. Both parties considering themselves to be with one another.

Hell does Josephine keep up the note sending after she gets engaged? Because if so that pretty much flat out says she doesn't consider them in a relationship.
