Yes but Sten is a Qunari - you expect them to be murdering xxxxxs :).

This says everything. No need for me to respond. Just highlight.

They treated changed something, They can potentially make you enemies among the nobility, Resulting in larger tariffs on Inquisition goods, loss of potential connections and empowering enemy factions.
After Corypheus is defeated Orlais is still the most powerful nation in Thedas bar the Qunari, They should be dismissed so easier only if the Inquisitions plans aren't to continue, grow, or prosper.

Lol, ten seconds after Cory was defeated the Orlesians were back to their moronic ways. I set that up on purpose. And Orlais is one country, I have the Divine in my pocket and have shown great results. I have other potential allies to find.

The fact that Blackwall is sorry for what he did doesn't make him a hero. The fact that he lies about it until almost everyone involved is dead doesn't help either.

That said, I don't hate the guy. Doesn't mean I need to sanctify him.

"Doing bad things is fine unless you do them to me. Then it's unforgivable. "

Murder a farmhouse of people in a delerious rage?  Fine.

Be an unremorseful Assassin?  dreamy.

Blow up a Church full of innocents?  you'll have fan-girls/boys defending your actions years later

But don't you dare lie to Inquisitor Mary-Sue and then confess when you realize you've gone way too far and need to be honest.

Yep, Blackwall hurt too many big fat egoes :P

If anyone is interested here's a detailed analysis of his character by someone who loves him :)

Yeah know why you have the divine in your pocket? Because you have the Orlesian thrones favor.

So? Why should I care after Cass/Leli/Viv is crowned? What are the Orlesian nobles going to do? Insult my taste and rearrange my furniture? Whoever's picked stays on the Sunburst throne.

No, if you ask him about it after the reveal he says he told the truth about that.

See, I have mixed feelings on Blackwall (as per my previous post). But characterizing people's objections to him as stemming from bruised egos, or finding him "uncool", is downplaying how thoroughly he betrayed the people who trusted him. And yes, I think that he genuinely wishes to atone for his actions, and that he's done a lot of good since taking on Blackwall's identity. However that doesn't make what he did any less detestable, and I can understand why he's received such a mixed reaction.

I'm sure they won't concern themselves with the opinions of the rulers of the country and city they reside in, or the opinions of their Grand Clerics, Revered Mothers and other subordinates (Who do you think gets them elected?)

Kind of like how Dorothea didn't concern herself with those things and outright free'd the mages....Oh wait

I know right!

But you really shouldn't have worried. He's way to manly to be Orlesian.

Ey, those bitches weren't Darth Leliana the Impaler. So, no. I'm pretty sure the Divine wouldn't care too much about a couple of butthurt and petty nobles.

I'm on Team Beard Squad. He did make a horrible mistake, his intention wasn't to kill the family of the guy, but his greed got the better of his decision making. Since that mistake, he has been doing his best to atone for his actions. Blackwall haters seem to forget the fact he stopped an arrow from going into your face. (Unless you are a dwarf, that shot was going over your head.)

Rhiordan leaped from a tower onto the back of a dragon and tour open its wing grounding it for our warden to kill.
Thats pretty goddamn manly right there.

Well, what he did isn't more detestable than giving the orb to Corypheus nearly causing the destruction of the whole world, that means all the children and the puppies in the world slowly dying encrusted with red lyrium, for instance -.-

Hate to brake it to you but Riordan is Fereldan and Duncan is Fereldan/Rivaini. They only lived in Orlais.

They grew up in Orlais, as did Leliana and she is considered Orlesian.

Anyway Stroud turns against his entire Order and brings back The Inquisitor and an army to bring em into line.
That takes balls

Riordan was obviously raised Orlesian, so, really doesn't matter.
