A question I saw on tumblr, which sparked my curiosity. What's your answer?

For this question, I decided to embody my video game perfectionism (my need to collect everything), and my preference to playing "the good guy" in RPGs, in my first time playthrough Qunari.

Good question!

My Lavellan would probably be most vulnerable to a Desire Demon. Like Solas, she values wisdom and purpose. Solas mentions though that Wisdom and Purpose are often corrupted into Pride and Desire. She lives to recover her people's lost history and to help the plight of elves everywhere, and almost every decision and action in the game goes toward achieving those goals. (She even drinks from the Well of Sorrows for that purpose.) At her lowest point, if she attracted the attention of any demon, I imagine her desperation to help her people would attract a Desire Demon.

Rage demons, for sure.   He's not big on the whole "Herald of Andraste" deal, using the Inquisition for personal advancement or wealth, or any of that.

He is, however, ever so slightly annoyed that everyone in southern Thedas apparently caught a raging case of the derps and has decided that naked, blatant and extremely short sighted seeking of advantage is an optimal strategy.  That's why he conscripted the Templars - they clearly couldn't be trusted to run things on their own.  Same for the Wardens.  He would've done the same to the mages, given the chance.

The world is where he keeps all his stuff. so seeing people decide to blow holes in reality, eat psychopath rocks, summon demons, engage in pointless civil wars and - worst of all - engage in copyright infringement of Varric's work - pushes his buttons.

Terror and Despair for Nasir Cadash, in equal measure, an unending experience that repeats itself where he finds his worst memories of those he failed to protect play over and over again. He does his best to help people, to bring order back to the world, but he's a mercenary captain and smuggler, not a leader of an entire organization. And his loyalty to my DN who is King makes him wonder if he's doing what's right or not.

He has a low sense of his capabilities to lead the organization as its High Inquisitor and feels that leaving the decisions up to him is a mistake. He's afraid that they'll come back to bite the world in the ass. He can deal with a chunk or two being removed from his ass, but the world? He just can't deal with it.

Are there pizza demons?

Yes, and they answer to their Supreme Demonic God-King, the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

BOW BEFORE HIS NOODLY GOODNESS.

I would say...fear.

My Lavellan likes to pretend she isn't afraid of anything. She rushes into the fray, she boasts, she brags. She'll get aggressive rather than back off. She does just about everything she can do to not appear to be afraid...because she's generally always afraid. She's always worrying. A fear demon would eventually be able to strip away her defenses.

Assuming the demons up for consideration are only those confirmed to exist (Rage, Sloth, Hunger, Terror, Despair, Desire, and Pride), and assuming we're going by what our character would fear and not us personally in the real world... That is a difficult one.

It's not really a word for my Inquisitor Lavellan, but a concept. That he could become Corypheous (or like him, anyway). I suppose in that regard Pride would be his fear... but not necessarily his weakness. He's constantly worried that he'll start going too far, so he's also constantly belittling himself to stay humble. He's also afraid of hurting those he cares about or-more accurately-failing them.

I like to think that when he's in the fade, when the party is facing the minor terror "spiders," he's seeing dead, blighted, or otherwise corrupted versions of his clan, friends, and loved ones.

So he's most afraid of Pride, but he's not weak towards it. I'm not sure if Terror or Despair would fit...

That an easy one. My female qunari quis would be most vulnerable to fear demon's. Being a qunari in a post kirkwall qunari upring world is not a nice place to be.

My city elf warden would be rage.

My Hawke would be despair.

Desire. Ive not seen any demon make as convincing a case for possession as the game seens to make out. They talk like mages are popping into abominations left right and centre, but i dont believe it.

Anyway desire, since although he turned into a pathetic little whiner, i completely understand why Connor succumbed: a desire to protect a loved one.

So something to do with Cass would be likely to make my inquisitor crack.

The real question is: Is the Inquisitor even susceptible to a demon considering he/she has the Anchor?

I assumed that with the Anchor mage or not, it would be damn near impossible for an inquisitor to be influenced much-less possessed by any demon.

@Cantina: Envy comes very close to taking over (though what it's doing isn't "traditional" possession), so yes, we're hardly demon-proof.

My Inquisitor is strongly worried about herself and her Inquisition falling to corruption, failing the people and the Maker, so hers is probably Despair ... with a side dish of Pride in moments where she harshly uses her power and thus shows she has reason for her worries.
