My elf mage is generally a good guy or at least tries to be, but he has no mercy and crossing him is usually fatal. He's way too thorough and feels like if he lets people see through his cracks in the armor, no one will respect him on virtue of him being an elf. Therefore he always his fireball hand ready to smite his enemies and backstabbers with no remorse, pity or discrimination. 

 

Oh, and badly trained mages ****** him off too. He believes that the reason people fear mages so much is because of mages who can't hold their magic. Therefore, blood mages and irresponsible mages are usually put to a quick no questions asked death. 

 

He and Vivienne are very much best friends. xD

I would say pride or terror. My inquisitors are faithful. They have to act tough but sceretly fear that they would let others down.
