[Oddgit the Great]

Hi! I have been trying to figure out how to play my shiny new game but with no luck. I  downloaded and redownload the game, i restarted a few times, yelled, and asked nicely and it still wont go. 
When i launch the game, i get to the launcher screen, i can change video settings and what not, i even set everything to low and off, windowed mode. When i actually launch the game, the ME2 launcher goes away and nothing else happens, MassEffect2.exe appear in the task manager, but it sits idle. 
I am running a very up to date smoothly running version of Windows XP x64 with a Quadro FX 4500 (a geForce 7800/7900) dual Opteron 275s and 6 gigs of ram. Everything else runs smooth, other games work fine. Just not ME2, any ideas how to fix this?
