Like I said. Works fine for me. Its called learning to adapt. If I whined about how every game I enjoy changes...I wouldn't be playing games.

So now you defend every change blindly, all day. And it is keeping you from playing games too ;)

I don't know why your so obsessed with this whole "people hate change" crap. Change can be good but in this case it wasn't good.

Its a fun game. People just hate change. And are too stubborn to admit they hate change.   Also...the fact still remains that this games still has received far less rage than what DA2 got when it came out.

Oh look, this guy: "he doesn't like the game, obviously it's too innovative for his unchanging, baroque mind and the only reason he doesn't agree with me is because he can't see how he obviously hates change" ...

It's not like people can have opinions ... I mean opinions other than your's, obviously.

*snip*

The only thing I really like about DAI is the soundtrack. And I suppose the graphics make for pretty screenshots.

I'm glad I bought the soundtrack, I love the music. And the game is so beautiful to explore <3

Inquisition is certainly the biggest disappointment I've had in a Bioware game (and I've played all except Jade Empire and Shattered Steel). Heck even DA2 with copy/paste areas, neverending hordes of bandits and limited "exploration" of Kirkwall, didn't ****** me off as much. I completed it several times, had fun and gave it 8/10.

I haven't made my final decision of Inquisition yet, but I am disappointed and frustrated with it, guess my expectations for were way off.

Funny thing is: Change a number of small design decisions, and Inquisition would be one of the greatest games I've ever played.

Oh dude, was that the cassandra romance? Playing a ruthless character and then him giggling was just ridiculous.

Yeah it was the Cassandra romance, alright. That conversation had no warning about giggle fits at all. I lost all interest in the character right there. Kind of glad a gamebreaking bug forced me to restart the whole thing not long after.

Sounds like you are just lazy, want hack and slash combat...and want everything easily handed to you

Because wanting a more user friendly UI isn't a valid concern.

http://forgetamnesia...-and-disability

DA2 and DAO had far more friendly PC UI than this. People who suffer from chronic pain and enjoy DA:I have been asking for UI improvements or optimization. Don't come down here with that condescending shtick.

We are down to 5 options. Guy with 2 daggers, mage, guy with big weapon, guy with bow, guy with weapon and shield. That's it. And races, of course - but those seem to be more of a cosmetic choice, really.

Attributes are gone. Control over our own character's personality is gone. Control over our character during conversations is gone.

How about Bioware just stops pretending next time and just make some Pg-13 version of God of War and stick it in Thedas? It is the next step anyway.

I agree that having greater control over builds would be preferable. But I have seemingly had full control over personality. There have been minor exceptions mentioned earlier (usually involving profanity), but only a few, and reloading allows for me to regain control easily enough for my usage.

True. A lobotomy is a change too. Not something people tend to love.

Didn't work here. If you want to romance Cassandra you are forced to be changed into a giggling moron.

Oh look, it's that thread again! And we have the exact same people arguing for and against it again. Meh. Mind you, I don't disagree... it's just so pointless. No matter what we write here it's not going to change anything and I'm starting to feel silly for repeating what I posted a dozen times already.

Just played it yesterday, and I do not recall having issues. I chose to focus upon her and lighten her mood, and am pleased with the overall humor and results I acquired from that approach.

Oh my, abandoning DAI obviously spared me quite a disappointment right there. If my Dalish Inquisitor would have started squeeing around like a schoolgirl, I'd probably have destroyed my expensive keyboard by face-plummetting all over it.

If anything, me being vocal about it shows that I'm still passionate enough about it to actually give a flying s*** and rant. And if by some freaky chance BioWare actually ends up adressing a solid deal of what destroys the game for me and changes it to the point where I like it, I might actually come and play the game again. It's not like I'm yelling "BETRAYAL!!! IMA NEVAR GONNA BUY ANYZING AGIN BOOWARE!!!1!eleven" or any of that hyperbolic nonsense.

1:35 and onwards. Giggles twice. You get a different one if you use the other voice set, I think.

I disagree, DAI is much improved in many ways to DA2.

Well, if I did want that, I'd really *really* enjoy DA:I, because this is just a lazy hack and slash combat game with everything easily handed to me.

Have not yet sided with the Templars, but am fine with laughing with her, and not at her. As mentioned, I was trying to lighten her mood, and this worked rather well.

DA2 didn't exactly set the bar very high.

Worked for you then. For everyone who didn't feel their character should be a giggling telletubby, they got the short end of the stick. When Bioware takes control over the PC like that, it undermines the whole "create your own character and make your own choices" bits they keep spouting.

It worked for YOU, I'm glad for you. But people don't want to roleplay as you. Some people don't want to roleplay as a giggling manchild.

I meant guy as in a stereotypical forum user, not trying to ascertain the person's sex through the internet ...

We not only differ on what is considered giggling, but on what are characteristic choices. When exploring a romantic interest, I hope for laughter, and when choosing whether to hire the Crows at the War Table or not is something I ponder with the varied characters of my Inquisitors (eg; did so with my Dwarven Rogue; chose other options with my Human Mage). While it will never be perfect, it is fine for myself.
