Having to run around kirkwall to check in on Companions is one of the things i hated most about DA2. Atleast in DAI they are all pretty close to eachother.

I prefer Hawkes personality to Inquisitor though, I usually play a aggresive character and direct just doesen't really do it for me, direct seems more passive aggresive than anything else.

I can definitely agree with the problematic companion spread in DA 2. Then again, I hated most of DA 2 companions so not having to talk them wasn't all that bad.

(Hate you so much Anders)

The problem with an aggressive Hawke story wise is that being aggressive applies being active, or you know proactively doing something about things you hate. Hawke through is the most is the most inactive of all the DA protagonists in my opinion. I mean seriously, the guy/gal learns that some mage with the initial O was probably connected to his mother's murder and he/she does nothing about it. Come on.

And you debate the issues; not the Player. Many of the rest have been set to Ignore status. I thank you for that.

Ohh I have no issues with you. Far from it. Just some of your views :)

I think that has more to do with "O" having plot armor. You can also warn Cullen about a certain rogue mage but he does nothing about it because that rogue mage has plot armor. It strikes me as another thing that was rushed and wasn't given much thought and it could have been done better simply by hawke not finding out about "O's" connection to his mother's death or the rogue mage being a bit less suspicious.

Edit- to make things more hilariously stupid, you can warn Cullen while the rogue mage is right bloody next to you :P

Yeah...

Cullen really sucks at his job. He says he left the Order for moral reasons, but I think he just got fired.

Perhaps, but given the entire context, I believe I was responding in kind, but within the rules of posting here. Now they have been placed to Ignore, and I choose to debate the differences in views with others. And while I cannot recall when and where, Rawgrim I have debated before on other threads; nothing too raucous, I hope.

No doubt you strive to follow the forum rules, but that's neither here nor there.

A right choice accomplishes what my character was trying to accomplish, a wrong choice doesn't. But really, I should leave this one to Xralius.

Allright.

I can't believe I bought this game at launch. I shouldn't have. I played an hour into it and was discouraged after the boredom set in. I felt like it was too open world.

Jimqusition posted a video that pretty much well describes dragon age Inquisition's open world.

Yeah, I saw his video and he's mainly talking about another game, but what he says applies so incredibly well to DA:I he might as well have made that video about DA:I

The whole open world thing has me worried about other game series i like going down that route, i hope they don't sacrafice so much for a "open world" which in Inquisition is really just large sandbox areas that i admit are beautiful to look at but ultimately boring since they are filled with the type of stuff I'd expect to see in a MMO.

Game is horribly optimized, still populated with bugs that would have been caught in any QA that bothered to employ testers with working eyes, the PC UI and controls are nothing short of the LAZIEST CONSOLE CONTROL PORT EVER, the story is unmotivating, the characters for the most part feel completely empty (Solas, Blackwall, Vivienne for example are entirely forgettable, seventy grueling hours into the game and I have not found a single snippet of information/reveal to make those characters even remotely interesting), the combat is simply repetitive, combat repetitiveness is only emphasized by the constant instant enemy respawns, companion AI retardation makes combat a repetitively annoying baby sitting excercise, the regions whilst pretty are completely devoid of explorational flair (woohoo, another landmark to reclaim ... now where's that Elfroot?), a character progression/levelling system that dumped attribute point allocation placing the entire character build on loot, which is AWFUL and completely random with crafting being so painfully superiour, if you actually get the schematics you need from the RNG, that whatever rare/unique gear you find survives exactly as long as it takes for you to get to the nearest vendor and the whole repertoire of MMO quest designs like "get me ten of this", "kill five of that" or "bring this to there" isn't just mindless, it's plain tedious and all you get is power and influence, all of which is available in such inflated numbers that you don't know what to do with all of it because you can't possibly spend even half of it, meaning quests are entirely unrewarding and any XP you get for completing quests only means that if you dare to actually complete all the quests you get, you end up being hopelessly overleveled halfway through the game.

LOL.... What's amazing... every point you mention here, is spot on.... spooooooooot ON!

I did finish the game, just to complete it. (168hrs, every side-quest i could get, and had over 287power with no-more quests =)

Among the plethora of issues, the loot is just frustrating as well as stale combat with respawns... o god... those respawns...

Going back to loot, I'm a dagger rogue and was unable to find ONE single Tier 3 dagger schematic, aside from the 1 you buy which is non-mastery and is AOE version, which i sincerely hate.

RNG allowed me to get Soooooo many swords/2h / 1h, purely frustrated. I had to use a crappy main-hand dagger drop from a dragon that was only slightly better than tier 2, just to avoid the awful AOE dagger.

Yep, RNG loot/schematics needs to go. That by itself would be much appreciated change for most of the community. Put some of the decent games in as rewards for the quests and you even create some motivation to grind through those.

That alone wouldn't suffice for me personally, but it would be a good start.

Define "controls".

control

[kuh n-trohl
verb (used with object)controlled, controlling.
1.
to exercise restraint or direction over; dominate; command.

Here you go. Google is your friend.

So, you've answered your question. This is why people hate the shitty "controls" of DA:I, they don't fulfill the definition of control.

if you didn't care, you wouldn't be making snarky comments on forums that add nothing, or even remotely add up to a criticism of a post.

Why are you even in this part of the forum if you are so against people giving feedback?

This is a forum, discussions usually happen in a forum.

What I'm trying to do is figure out why you bother coming to this part of the forum when you clearly can't handle it.

OT but I really preferred the animation and characters in DA2 overall over DAI. Landscapes are hands down better in DAI however.
