I understand that the helmet cannot be removed off the free dlc armor but i was Just wondering if the helmet can be removable via mods or the gibbed save editor.
Mod to remove helmet off the cerberus assault armor?

Nope, this was only implemented in ME3.
@OP: No idea. Need to ask someone smarter than me on this Gaming Area. There are a couple of people around here that can help you with that.
