I still love DAO gameplay. I can play that game over and over and it doesn't bore me. There's so many different ways to set up your team and tactics. Lurve it. DA2 was pretty good too although I missed the top-down camera. DAI ... Ehhh well it's fun but it's not as fun as DAO for me. The story is what keeps me going. Plus I haven't been able to use mouse and keyboard without getting frustrated so I use a controller instead and it's not really my favourite way to play. I commend any brave soul who decides to play with friendly fire on. I played on nightmare with FF in both DAO and DA2 but it would be way too irritating in this game I imagine.

I do think the limited potions and barrier spells add a unique twist to nightmare mode, but the tac cam and AI could be better, and of course I would like the tactics back.

Honestly, I never really felt the depth being added to combat and exploration by removing health and mana regeneration after a fight. The moment you Fast Travel to your camp or set one up, you are fully replenished. It's just one more thing you had to do in DA:I as opposed to you being fully revived after a fight when exploring.

I wish they included the injuries in the game that cannot be healed with potions. So when you find a supply cache, it wouldn't be almost exactly the same as going to camp.

The limited potions is also heavily offset by the unlimited reviving you could do to your party members. When I started playing Nightmare, I quickly learned that it's a waste of time and resources allowing anyone aside from the tank to drink potions. Having a DPS character die with 10% health is much more preferable to the character dying with full health gained by a potion. Not only will the enemy that killed the character move back to attacking the tank, but because they die usually so far away from the main threat, it's pretty easy to revive said character and put them back to work.

This way, the tank gets access to all 8 potions while also having support from the mages and the rogue.

Guardian/Nexus....anyone familiar with Dragons Dogma will get the reference. The Ai in this game is just sad.

Well if by unique twist you mean being forced to fast travel and then backtrack... :D Nightmare isn't particularly harder or more challenging, it is just tedious and it either forces you to travel back to camp often or maually control your tank, since the stupid AI is terrible with Shield Wall or bring along 2 mages with Barriers. And ever since lvl 12-13 nightmare plays exactly the same as hard.

Very true. One reason why this game sucks is the lack of the cool tactics system of DAO and DA2 which mitigated your companion AI's idiocy. The combat in DAI is flashy, pretty and fun in certain occasions but it's mostly **** because there is no tactics system.
