Including patch notes apparently.

UPDATE JAN 27: There was a small update for PC players on January 26th, with the following 2 changes:
Yay.
Our PC Guinea pigs continue as suitable test subjects. Observation, and further small patches, will continue until we notice a marked drop in whining and moaning...
I just read that this game was developed as a MP only? If so, why does the SP feel 90% complete while the MP feels like an afterthought?
I half remember that while it was designed for "multiplayer", the impression it was more the single player campaign/story in co-op. With the other hint being MMO-ish. The multiplayer was not ME3MP style MP, if that's what you mean.
This "minimised the occurrence of MP key bug", does it have anything to do with additional spawns that sometime happen at the end of stages? Like, you finish the last group and notice how you have 3-4 enemy mooks behind you, you kill them and key drops.
The only word about the key glitch we got was that it had something to do with red templars dying to elemental damage

Very early in development they took over the work on the Frostbite engine from a cancelled multiplayer only Dragon Age game.
There was a rumor a long time ago on Kotaku about some arena horde spinoff which was probably referring to that project.

UPDATE JAN 27: There was a small update for PC players on January 26th, with the following 2 changes:
- Fixed an issue with crafted shields and armor values
- Minimized the occurrence of MP Key Drop issue
I wonder if EA_Nils got it straight from Bioware or if this is just an educated guess. Somehow I'm more skeptical reading seemingly official information in one of my own posts.

Since several people have sort of half-answered this, I'll go ahead and clarify.
Part of Dragon Age was built on work that was cannibalized from a cancelled project that was MP-only. However, the project in question was not Dragon Age: Inquisition*. Of all the parts of Dragon Age, it is the oldest. That is the source of the misunderstanding that spawned the rumour that DA:I was begun as a "multiplayer-only" project.
Dragon Age: Inquisition was green-lit in 2011, with the full intention of continuing the single-player experience from Dragon Age 2. At that time, they incorporated the work done on an abandoned MP project, that pre-dated Dragon Age: Inquisition.
*Edit: I must confess, I hadn't realized that the originally cannibalized game had been intended to tie in with the Dragon Age franchise, but it actually had been. However, it was from before DA 2, and had nothing to do with DA:I, other than to have components of it incorporated into DA:I after it was cancelled.
More musical wisdom from Rush's "circumstances" in my attempted Geddy Lee pitch:
"All the same we take our chances

They had better stop shortly because very soon there will be no more PC Guinea pigs left to test on. I have noticed more and more each day quitting the game entirely because of this BS and the various other issues Bioware is aparently incapable of addressing.

is this why MP is crap?

Soo, freakin glitchy I think I'm done. ![]()
Whiners will be whiners.
If Bioware devs engage with the community, we rage.
If they do not, we rage.
If they try and fix issues, we rage because it wasn't fast enough/not 100% all the time/some other random stuff
If they do not, we rage.
It's a shame they can't be forthcoming with information on what is going on, and their expected development cycles from a timeline perspective, but unfortunately it seems the BSN isn't a mature enough place to have such conversations.
I haven't encountered the key bug since Patch 3, and I've been grouping with a number of fire storm casting Elementalists since then.

It is certainly a massive test in patience....
P.S. Just found this which makes it even sadder considering the kind of money they made off this game:

It's why the single player is crap as well.
It's a refurbished mmo. Plays exactly like one as well.
Or maybe they should toughen up. The internet is a rough place, especially gaming forums. Maybe Candy Land is hiring.Whiners will be whiners.

Just had no key issue on my host, no elementalists in the party. Some work left to be done.
People make it sound like these forums are a cesspool of all the worst things humanity can muster up. Lighten up, it's taco Tuesday.

Misunderstanding and misinterpretation on BSN? Say it ain't so. That's crazy talk.

Are you calling him crazy? How dare you, you don't even know Jeremiah. I can't believe the ignorance on these boards. This is bull****

You know I was wondering how much cash they actually pull in from platinum in DAI, probably a lot higher than we might think based off that number.
