Seriously, this is something that has been missing from every Bioware game bar Dragon Age 2 (and even then only in DLC content).
It makes sense that we can't change our actual faces post-character creation, as this would obviously be impossible in real life (though in universes that contain magic, genetic engineering and presumably futuristic plastic surgery, it wouldn't be beyond the bounds of reason), but WHY can't we change our hair, exactly? It's hair! Hair grows! We all change our hair at various points in our lives. Hair styles are not permanent!
In Mass Effect I changed my Shepard's hair at the start of each game just to give it some variety and sense of time passing - it seems slightly absurd to me that Shepard would stay with the exact same hair cut after several years and being killed and genetically engineered from the ground up - but even then I had to make a note of my character creation code number, and input each slider in order to get my face back, because the face creator doesn't allow you to just change one feature.
I just don't get it. You telling me there's no such thing as a Barber's in Thedas? It'd make the game way more enjoyable if you could change things like hair 'on the fly'. I know people who chose one hair style and then 30+ hours of gameplay later regretted it, but couldn't do anything about it without giving up all their progress.
Things like Gibbed for ME actually allow us to do stuff like this - but I think it's kind of ridiculous (and slightly embarrassing) that this feature isn't just part of the game, and we have to arse about ferrying saves via USB to our computers and messing about with them in order to achieve this. It should just be a simple, optional feature.
Anyway, just an idea.
