When I try to start the game the screen goes black and then I get the Mass Effect is not working message and it crashes back to windows. Any help?

the windows message says it is a APPCRASH.

There are a bunch of threads on this, and no solutions that I've seen yet.



I've updated DX, my drivers and tried reinstalling. No luck.

Check the size of the install folder. It seems there might be an install issue that the install is not complete.

There is a solution. First check the size of your folder to make sure it is less than 11 gigs so that it is the same problem. Then check.

I'm getting that whenever I try to start the Configuration Utility so that I can import my ME1 saves. The game starts fine (though I can't connect to the network like many others), but I can't import my ME1 saves because the Config Utility won't work.
