It sucked. Got a level 17 unique that I already had a better grey, the rest was low level trash.

I'm 300k in. I don't have any high tier weapons or a ring of life drain.

RNG seems fun, but I always seem to get boned by it in these games.

My best item is a superb ring of staggering. Which is admittedly good, but not 300k gold good.

Apparently releasing a product before a major holiday allows for lower quality standards, delayed patches, and the omission of content. The more you know...

EDIT: I'm still not sure how this is the 'better' support over ME3 MP that Bioware promised. I must be taking them out of context or something. I hear there's a lot of that going around lately.

Do you have a source for the 'better' support quote?

The quote I remember was this one:

"a BioWare representative claimed they would "support [Dragon Age: Inquisition's] multiplayer far beyond Mass Effect 3," and went on to say "they have a lot of content planned for Dragon Age for months on end." Destructoid

Mass Effect MP was supported just shy of one year.

If DAMP is supported to the end of 2015 then they will have supported it beyond ME3.

I assume I'm understanding 'beyond' to mean 'longer' not 'better' who's to say?  ;)

Ha. RNG is RNG.
Mine had 2 rares, but both below equipped items.

It's fine.

It's random.

From what some are saying it is dropping at a higher quality.
But you might get 5 Raider Longswords and 5 potions...

The point of the event was the event.

I actually disagree. The point of the event was to complete said event and get a cool reward. I actually know people stuck playing on the lower difficulties because they can't get appropriate gear. It's not like ME3MP, where we can rock an Avenger X on gold and still kick ass. :)

We were promised schematics.

Since when do they keep their promises.. Single player is a testament to that.

Yeah, I watched the stream where they promised superior support to ME3 MP. I simply 'quoted' it to imply the general idea, not a "direct" quote. Still, "far beyond" implies more than just a week or a month. Maybe they do have a long-term, master plan but this community has yet to see it; and Bioware is even more wary of telling us about it (they won't even release basic patch notes now).

oh, I have no issue at all with the point you're making  :)

I guess I'm becoming very used to BioWare being extremely careful about what they say about anything to avoid:

e.g. BioWare lied - Promised Crestwood (pre-alpha) features were cut from the game (etc)

The only real conclusion I draw from what has been said is that BioWare would like DAMP to have events/DLC longer than 12m,
though MEMP seems to be carrying on quite happily even without support,

I tried to tell people not to expect much.... but you still have to complain.

Like I've said - those chests are just the same as a 1200 chest, and they are always going to be.

I thought it would be cool to have one guaranteed new unique weapon schematic (like a handle, grip, staff blade, etc). So everyone gets something a little different that encourages diversity, mainly diversity to get people to play something other than Archers and Arcane Warriors.

Sadly, that did not happen this time around. Maybe next time.

I'd be happy with one guaranteed unique anything for the weekend chests. Right now there's really nothing that sets the weekend chests apart from the regular chests, which kinda sucks.

Ha. I got a Superb Belt of Staggering, which is pretty useless, and like my twelvth Longbow of the Griffon. Thanks, but... you were a little late to the party, Victory Pack.

Superb Belt of Staggering

Not as useless as it might sound. People fall asleep around me quite often...

I am sure they just don't yet have the ability to give schematics as loot.

Just like the delay with fixing the key bug and others, you can blame the Christmas release schedule.

But its almost February.

Apparently releasing a product before a major holiday allows for lower quality standards, delayed patches, and the omission of content. It's probably why so many developers try to release at that time every year. The more you know...

Maybe so, but there are two things to remember:

1) A 4-week project will take 5 weeks if there is a weeklong vacation.

2) This is Canada we are talking aboot. Who knows what they do up there? After ringing in the new year by kissing a moose at midnight, it was off to a drunken (but sacred) hockey cross-species throwdown. They were probably making frequent dental visits after that and too polite to come in to work all doped up on painkillers.

But they say they have improved loot. Improved how, exactly? Anecdotally, we cannot tell the difference.

Was it ever not a disappointment?

Besides, these Free Weekend Chests are a joke. Most of us get junk while a few blessed players will get something useful based purely on randomness.
There should be a standardized prize for everyone. Like during ME3 Weekend Packs which awarded a guaranteed promotional N7 weapon, for everyone.

I got two really good blue staves, lvl 21 and 20 I think. Both were better than what I already had, so I'm happy with it.

I got a Longbow of the Griffin from mine.  Been a long time waiting for this.  Tried it out on my hunter and going back to my original bow which provided 1% health on hit and higher dps with single shot.

Seriously BW?  5 pots and 5 greys?

yeah it was like any other crappy chest you buy with 1200 gold. I was also a bit taken aback by how bad it was considering it was a community chest.

It's why I stopped playing multiplayer, or rather I stopped a while ago and it conveniently portrays why I quit the multiplayer. They just don't give a crap about making it better at all.

No fixes to anything, just breaking it more. Lame animal additions instead of darkspawn/dragons. No crafting unique weapons with my 255 materials or my 100+ Very rare tier 3 materials. Abysmal RNG chests that are completely luck-based despite how long you play the game for.

It's just bad, and their attempts at improving it have only made it worse. They also don't give a crap about cheaters being on the leaderboards either.

Do yourself a favor and just stop playing it. It isn't worth it and it isn't going to get better. Bioware has made that very clear at this point.

There's nothing comedic about it. Sad maybe, since its true.
