Why, in all that is holy, is my SINGLE PLAYER GAME, suddenly taing 1,2, or 3 mins just to get through load screens?!?! I just got this new stealth patch today, and entering the main menu, and clicking "Continue" for my campaign, i have been waiting so long that after getting frusterated, minimizing, loading google, and this forums, making this post,, its STILL loading!!!

Anyone elses loads getting outrageous? Im still on my 1st playthrough, and only use 10 save files.. I overwrite them, and recycle the saves, so i not overloading the memory.. Whats the deal?

My game was going quite well until patch 3.. This is where my problems (which were always there, just not in excess) erupted.. DirectX crashes.. The game shut down my pc for the 1st time.. The sound, and video have begun to studder, tear, terrible fps drops, etc.. Ive capped fps at 60, but when loading, it spikes to 200, and puts a severe strain on the PC..The cinematics obvisouly dotnt go over 30, but also drop as low as the single digits..

My longest load time prior to patch 3, was maybe 15 seconds.. Just now, fast traveled from Skyhold to the Marshes, Southern most map on Fareldens side, and it took over 6 minutes!!!

The patch has serious issues with the 60 fps forced lock, I would advice disabling it, if you haven't tried that already.

Hmm.. Loading the game up fresh this morning, after a fulll reboot of the PC, and nothing running in the backround, seems to have made no difference.. The load times have become unbearable! 30seconds is too long to wait.. Im waiting several mins for EVERY load screen!!!

Is no one else having this problem since the newest patch? My lvl 12 Inquisition Perk was Deft hands, so im  traveling over all the old maps for locked doors.. this is taking  FOR..EV..ER!!

The most annoying loading times happen during companion quest progression where they load the entire other area for a minor cutscene.

Yep, I'm using SSD, too, on i5 and the game is pretty fast; before and after the patch 3. But it was actually that fast even before the SSD, as well.

While I am ok-ish with Denuvo running on my HDD, I wouldn't trust it enough to install the game on SSD :)

This BS. I am using 4 SSD's in RAID 0 and it takes atleast 30 seconds. The load times are inappropriate for the content. Its just bad optimization.

I have an SSD and going from Skyhold to the Hinterlands took 30 seconds (I timed it), with the tarot card loading screen and black loading screen combined. 5-10 seconds seems insanely quick for this game.

On my previous PC with a 7200RPM HDD, it took about a minute to load the Hinterlands.

I7 4790K, and ssd, I disabled the special command lines and still, take 40 seconds to load into areas, I had close to twice the crash to desktop screen.. After patch 3, I gave up on trying to play both sp and my. I have to wait until patch 4. =(

Eh, 30 seconds is a very high estimate if you ask me. I'd be surprised if I ever had loaded for more than 20 seconds.

I timed it and it was almost exactly 30 seconds. This is from the moment I started fast travelling from Skyhold to the Hinterlands until I reached a playable state.

Maybe we should time it and we can compare hardware. I have Adata SP900 (SSD), 8GB DDR3 1600, core i5 4690K, AMD Radeon R9 270X (Mantle).

It may be worth mentioning that in Battlefield 4, my load times are significantly longer in Mantle. I'll do a quick check to see if there's a difference in DA:I.

Edit:

From Skyhold to the Hinterlands farmlands, under the exact same conditions, two runs for each API:

Mantle run 1: 38.40s
Mantle run 2: 34.04s

DirectX 11 run 1: 32.45s

DirectX 11 run 2: 32.87s

My game from day 1 has always taken at least 1.. 2 minutes to load. I just sat there reading the codex entries. I am only using a HDD and not SSDs because my system is 4 years old.. can still run the game on high quality, just takes forever to load. I have been "Kicked" from multiplayer lobbies because I took too long to load the lobby back after a match completed.. like seriously.. not everyone loads in 5 seconds flat. It has gotten to the point where I tell people over the mic that I am playing on an abacus and the game takes a little longer to load for me so they need to be patient.

I don't think it's even loaded that slow on my 360.  Normally I can just jot over to the third codex, jot back, and it'll be loaded, don't have time to read anything.  Not that I can, bloody small text.

I never used to have enough time to read 1 half of 1 codex.. Now i can read all 3, and have time to kill.. These last few days have been ridiculous!

That's weird.  Everything is faster for me now than before the patch/hotfix.  Gameplay and loading both.

Login load... Black screen green loading symbol, Loading screen with cards on it, Black screen green loading symbol....very odd.

Takes a good two minutes, I have 16gb of ram too..

Er. Friends, what is your SSD? Because name matters.

I have Intel Original 530 Series SSDSC2BW120A401 2.5" 120GB SATA III for it, and as far as I'm concerned read/write speeds are a lot different in different SSDs.

same here I've neen using my SSD for my more demanding games such as this as well I do have an HDD as well but I tend to use that for older games and other files definitely works better this way for me as well.

It may be helpful if you do have a powerful CPU and lots of RAM, yeah, I don't.
So my salvation was in SSD :)
