I recently reinstalled windows, because of me upgrading my pc. aaand long story short, did not make a backup of my save files before formating my harddrive. I was done with the main campaign and was well on the way in awakening, and now I have to start all over again(and that is NOT very tempting btw). I guess there are no way to get the files back, but Il ask anyhow, Is there? Thx in advance for all answers:)

Short of paying a small fortune to try to recover them by reconstructing the directory, no. Your saved game files are gone.

Oh well, all hope is not lost. Atleast I can use dragon age keep to get the right story for inqisition. I guess that's something

What version of Windows did you reinstall?

 

Edit: Try looking in C:/Windows.old/Users/[your old username]/My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Characters. If that folder exists, it should have your old saves in there. Move them into C:/Windows/Users/[your new username]/My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Characters. They should show up next time you start the game.

I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and I did not find that folder you where talking about.
