I have never seen this spell used at all in multiplayer.  Probably because the mana cost is too high.

Used it on my Elementalist the very first time I unlocked him. It's pretty crap, had the mana cost been lesser maybe I'd use it more, but there are WAAAAAY better single target spells other there.

Necromancer: Flashfire + Walking Bomb + Virulence passive.

Target an enemy in the middle of a group with Flashfire then Walking Bomb. Kill that enemy off and watch both the WB curse and FF panic spread through the enemy ranks.

Works easily even solo on Routine and Threatening, but on Perilous you'll want to pick the first target more carefully (choose a defensively weak enemy like an archer) and have at least one teammate help focus-fire on that target to kill it quickly for maximum effect.

Note: The Necromancer is the only class where I'd recommend Flashfire, simply because the Virulence passive is where it actually becomes useful.

Note: Flashfire is conditionally useful as a means of shutting down Pride Demons, as they are susceptible to panic.

On the Ele I see more damage and better usage from Immolate vs. Flashfire. On the Necro it's a better fit with the panic portion of her abilities...though I'll take different skills after promotion to keep the kit fresh.

Yep pride demons are a joke. However, if it works on that Charging Druffalo...go for it...for those times when you encounter that jerk. Still Flashfire is just bad overall especially with a 4-skill restriction.

Between Pride Demons and Despair, I choose to FF Despair every time. Let the Pride Demons Laugh at you, that's all they'll do.

Protip: Rage demons are actually suspectible to fear when their barrier is down. Use when they're the first mob around.

Just remember they'll wake up from fear/panic after 1.5 seconds of attack damage including dots. Hence, firewall with the constantly refreshing panic is superior for Eles's.

Firewall is superior...for the whole team...against pretty much anything :X

Firewall: Use it. Love it.
