No thanks.

Everything wrong with DA:O can be summed up with the Deep Roads.

Whenever I see "Deep Roads" I think of the dwarf option at the pearl in DA:O

LOL

I did? More then the Forest and the werewolves, surely a lot more than the circle...I loved to run throguh those abandoned thaigs, imagining what happened there centuries ago. I also friggin loved to storm the fortress of the Legion, charging along that brdige. The broodmother-discovery?

And Valammar and even more, dungeon beneath Crestwood made me crave to go all Deeproads even more!

Same here... Same here...   I love the Deep Roads, for its Deep Story, and Imagination for thinking what have been there centuries ago so... again Same here :D

You're joking but the Deep Roads were one of my favorite parts of DAO. Walking in the ruins of ancient dwarven civilization, seeing what was lost, fighting the Darkspawn as Grey Wardens are meant to, witnessing the hopelessness of the dwarves, travelling deeper than anyone ever had until the walls and ground have becoming naught but corrupted flesh, witnessing the horror that births the Darkspawn, etc.
Never have I felt more in a fantasy setting. Whenever I replay DAO, one of the first things I do is cut a line through the Darkspawn at the Dead Trenches.

Hell yes.

Dragon Age: Origins felt complete with the Deep Roads. Dragon Age: Inquisition had that fake surface thaig which was PURE WEAK SAUCE.

I'm not entirely sure we'll be seeing Kal'Sharok specifically (not that I would be opposed to it  ;) ), but considering the core game barely has any Darkspawn in it, I'd reckon a trip to the Deep Roads is very likely within Inquisition's DLC cycle  ;).

With that in mind.... *cough* expansion *cough* Kal'Sharok *cough*

Don't tell me doing this with your own characters isn't awesome.

First of all: Valammmar is not the Deep Roads, according to Varric.

Second: please, Bioware, don't make me plow through the Deep Roads again. The first time in DA:O it was kinda fun. The second time it was a drag. The third time I cried, more than a little.

Ok. that's a lie. I never made it to three times. But there would've been crying :P

Like others here, I think deep roads was the BEST thing in all the dragon ages combined. It was so thick with mystery, a lost civilisation, cut off from people. The only quest that felt like an adventure. Just watching myself dot dot dot through into the darkest depths of the abyss...

I WANT MOAR!

I would instabuy anything that included 1 of the lost dwarven cities. maybe one of that has been thought overrun but really it's full of  dwarven survivors who.... dun dun dun find out in the next DLC!!

The lack of massive deep roads exploration - is why I liked DA:2 over Origins. Dungeons that are too large are somewhat frustrating - the only thing that would make that less tedious would be to set up camps along the way with some of your companions to chat too ( and Cullen :D ) to break up the tediousness of endless tunnels of darkspawn.

+1 to deep roads.

Especially with the FB engine which could do them justice, and have them appear as was probably intended in Origins.

The only problem with the deep roads in Origins is they used that same brown colour palate throughout.

I'd go a little further and have an optional challenge area where the party is locked in, no going back to camp to restock. No potion restocks every 5 metres.

Only way through is to push forward until the end is reached.

YES YES YES!

Just make those dungeons as big as the Hinterlands! I love the Hinterlands! Who doesn't?

*runs away chuckling*

And yeah, I am dead serious about the above...but I also loved Blackreach in Skyrim...except for teh fetching Nirnroot Quest ^^

With this engine the Deep Roads could be beautiful. Of course this requires us to be in the Deep Roads instead of caves next to them which Bioware was completely obsessed with in DAO and why I disliked the segment.

But dwarven politics are great!
"I suggest we put the matter to a vote."
"And I suggest you have a taste of my family's mace!"

Definitely beats Orlais

Ugh I hope not. The Fade and the Deep Roads were the two parts of DAO I despised.

Agreed and make it as long and tough to go through as DA:O. IMO, story should be reflected into gameplay, they're supposed to be long, maze-like, hard to go through, filled with darkspawn and other dangers. They're called "DEEP" for a reason. I really liked how they were made in da:o, tbh. Maybe half a thaig less would have worked better, but still good.

We need the return of the Broodmothers. I want something that makes me disturb while fighting it.

Qunari Broodmothers anyone?

The cloudgazers don't have the stones required for the deep roads.

Maybe one day, BioWare will allow us to go from Kal-Sharok to Orzammar, or visa versa... or both! Perhaps we'll be able to head in search of the remains 2 "old gods" and destroy them while they sleep? It'd be cool if we could find out about other dwarven cities that have managed to survive the Blights, that even Kal-Sharok and Ozammar don't know about. Or even explore beyond Thedas.

DLC: From Orzammar to Kal Sharok.  Ferelden to Orlais.  Deep roads adventures, dwarven politics, and the return of Oghren or Shale!  (This would make me so happy.  Pleeeeease, Bioware!)

Don't tell me doing this with your own characters isn't awesome.

I could watch a sequence like this of my chosen party following a non-playable character guide, in the Deep Roads all day. It'd be cool to have the occasional conversation between companions, where they quietly whisper to themselves. Traversing the Deep Roads quietly, with the intent on finding something - maybe an old god or an ancient relic. If someone makes a loud noise everyone spins around to look, or shushes them.

Heck, BioWare should give us at least a small sequence like this. We had something similar in Origins, with finding the bulk of the darkspawn horde down below, and the archdemon commanding it.
