During a mission on Omega, I was informed that returning to the medical bay on the Normandy SR 2, I would be able to heal my facial wounds without it being necessary to constantly make Paragon choices. Unfortunately I see no options for this once I'm inside the medical bay. Is it even possible to have Dr. Chakwas heal the injuries? If so, when does the option actually become available? Thank you in advance for your responses.

It's a ship upgrade. Called Med-Bay something or other. Costs 50000 platinum.

Actually, this feature is an upgrade for teh normandy. You have to speak to Chakwas, or just go to your research terminal to access "Ship Upgrades". The medical bay upgrade costs... 50000 palladum I believe?

You need to unlock the tech lab to upgrade the Normandy with this feature. Unfortunately, this will not fix Garrus' scars.

You have to purchase a ship upgrade in the tech lab, which is only accessible when you have Mordin on your crew. It's quite pricey, but worth it if you want to play renegade without looking like the Terminator.

You need to purchase the med bay upgrade for 50000 Platinum, then go to the medbay. In order to do research upgrades you must recruit the Professor, Mordin Solus.

Personally, i say don't waste it. if your characters gonna be majority of the time good, the scars should heal - at least that's what they say in the game. otherwise, your gonna look more...robotic over time. So if you like not looking like Saren after the reaper took him over, and you like to cause chaos, disorder, and mayhem, then you should think about the facial operation.

The information is much appreciated. Except you Martukis, I wasn't aware Garrus will be receiving scars. I should go now...

My "good" decisions often mean killing my enemies gruesomely. Which in my view is the right thing to do. Lol.

The face scars get a little extreme. At one point Shep almost doesn't look human anymore. If they would have maybe cut back on the scaring a little bit and left your pupils alone I think it may have looked better.(Pupil-turns red with 3 red dots around it,the 3 red dots around the pupil was enough for me.)
