I'm actually playing as a very upright (or uptight, depends on your point of view) Trevelyan right now, so he doesn't loot stuff from corpses that don't belong to his enemies, or from chests in other people's homes, and other inappropriate places. It's... pretty hard actually. I've had to reload a couple of times because looting's become instinctive for me by now.

This is really good roleplay.

Have you noticed any quests that challenge your Trevelyan Inquisitor's morals?

Well, all of the main quests actually.

First there's this Herald of Andraste business. It feels blasphemous and deceitful to take on that title, especially since he's a devout Andrastian and nobody actually saw who the woman who helped him out of the Fade was. And after Adamant, it turns out it really wasn't Andraste. At the same time, he realizes people are only giving him that label because they're desperate, and they need to hold someone up as some messiah to see them through. And how can he deny them hope like that, even if it's such a sickening lie?

And then he went to recruit the templars, and all his life he's looked up to them. He saw them as these staunch soldiers of faith, protectors of the Maker. He was even going to be one of them, only the mage rebellion happened and the circles disbanded. One of the reasons why he went to Haven was so he could join the Order immediately in case the Conclave was successful. But yeah, the boom happened. So you can imagine his excitement when Cullen suggested allying with the Templars to close the Breach. He felt like the world was starting to make sense once again, until he went to Val Royeaux, and he saw the Lord Seeker punch that old lady.

Yep, he ended up disbanding the Order. He felt betrayed by the Wardens as well, and then when he got to Halamshiral, felt so disgusted by the Game, all this pomp and pageantry having to please a bunch of nobles when he's wandered through the countryside, seen firsthand the death and destruction this petty Civil War's caused.

And then there's Dorian, whom he loves with all his heart, but he isn't supposed to because he's from Tevinter and he's a mage, and his family owns slaves, and his father's a magister and it'll probably never last...

Oh my god I feel even more sorry for my Trevelyan than I do for my Solasmancing Lavellan. Dude's gonna be so jaded by the end of this playthrough I bet. Just look at his sweet young panicked face:

As yes, I'd forgotten about grave robbing and desecrating offerings to the deceased...  ;)

I actually didn't do this in my first playthrough. Since then, I've learned that cost me two mosaic pieces. Why the heck can't I just pick that lock?

Yup. The Kleptomaniac Hero trope is in full effect.

LOL, I didn't know that's actually a trope, but I guess it would be, given how things go in crpgs...

Deep down. All player characters are kleptomaniacs. They just don't know it yet.
