Why some people who've spent more than me have worse equipment is, as you say, bad luck. Blame RNG.

 

I personally dont like it though. If you've spent the most, you should have the best stuff - but that certainly isnt the case in this game. I guess you are not guaranteed anything at all really. Sucks.

I started to play Perilous just few days ago,because of that I have like 1.5 K gold per hour

I have mostly what I want, missing some odds and ends I do want, but too lazy to salvage... I mean buy large chests. Mostly too lazy to salvage. So laaaazy because salvaging is a huge chore.

With under 300k spent I had almost all top tier weapons (including two Red Births, Superb Stamina and HoK) expect for 2H and Staff. I guess I've been quite lucky overall.
But I have been getting only repeated or useless cards since then. I have no idea how much Gold I've spent by now, I am not in game.

Purple, WTF is that color? I think my top line items right now are the Vigorious Staff and the Templar Bow. One handed and two handed are an even worse wasteland. No rings, 1 amulet of cunning and 1 of melee defense. No idea how much gold I've spent but the RNG gods hate me and apparently think Army Dirk is what I really need.

So go check how much. There is no point in complaining about RNG unless you have spent atleast about a mill coins and not recieved everything top tier. Atleast not in this game.I got my first insane weapon (Sulevin) at around 300k. Thats about 250 chests. If you havent seen any purples yet my guess is that you havent opened more than 10-15 chests.

btw if I would get a second 10% HOK (first one was in my first 100k and still haven't got a 2nd) I probably wouldn't even use it. Just use 10% attack and kill more enemies.

I have two. But on mages and 1h warriors I dont use any actually. On 1h's I have Caliban, and on mages I have HoK on staff + death siphon. Keeper always has barrier, same as AW - which is practically invulnerable because of it.

So I guess I only use it on rogues and 2h's.

I spent 280K gold and just got my purple 10% HoK ring yesterday.

 

I don't have a good 2H weapon and don't have top daggers but have good staves (forgotten pyre and fury of the veil), moon axe plus emperor shield, bow of griffon and trepanner bow, purple critical chance ring and 10% cool down amulet as well as some other purple staggering/resistance/critical damage rings/belts. So, I think I am quite lucky. I attribute that to religiously crafting armor at every opportunity since the beginning.

You don't need to play Perilous to get rich quick. Majority of my loot comes from playing Routine then later Threatening. People severely underestimate how much your completion ratio has on gain. I've less than 20 Perilous games under my belt, only 11 completed. I don't play P-matches with pugs, only private with friends. They (pugs) usually only want to get gold or xp and not be concerned with completion. That's fine and all if you want to quick level a character here and there, but not when it's all they do all day, every day. What's the fun in that? The majority of my games are pug. I only join games that are balanced and guys ready to play.

 

I keep dropping jewels on people on how to maximize their profits and all they can say is "Shadohz... speedrunner. Shadohz, bad. Fire, hot". Don't waste time sitting in idle lobbies, kick players for taking too long/holding lobby hostage, pick games where there's an even distribution of classes, do your tedious stuff offline (crafting, buying chests etc), know the areas (every spawn location, every guaranteed chest). Avoid games if you're a melee kit where another player is tanking with a melee kit (tanking is better with 3 ranged kits, less player collision). Avoid games multiple melee kits. Avoid games with multiple stealth characters. Learn all the detonators (pretty small list actually such as setting off biotics with caltrops). Hit treasures rooms methodically (The guy the opens the doors hits the chest, unless he's holding guard on door. WHY ARE YOU RACING HIM?! Grab the chest first. Vase loot on the way out). If you team sucks (low dps, disorganized) then leave. 

Here's a list of items I've never owned (which is shorter to do for me):

Caliban, Thunderstrike, Big Bone, Shield of Emperor, Superb Ring of Life Drain. Everything else I either own or salvaged before.

 

Biggest mistake I wish I could take back:

Accidentally salvaging the Staff of Void. WTH BW wouldn't add a locking mechanism to the game before release is beyond me.

I have only wanted 3 items out of the store from the start.  That would be the Sulevin Blade, Caliban and the 10% Hok ring.  I still do not have any of these 3 items after ~850k spent plus treasure room chests.

 

I feel like when you have spent into the hundreds of thousands and can't get what you want, you will never get it. I'm think I can deal with never getting HoK rings, not like I have a choice.

After spending as much as I have only to be trolled by the store, I feel like this. ^^  How does it make you feel to know that there is a guy out there that has spent over 2 mil and doesn't have a 10% or 5% HoK ring?  How does it make you feel when you realize it could happen to you and you have only spent a fraction? 

 

I expect garbage from the store.  Hence I put very little value on in-game gold.

Don't want soloists in a team game. They'll just drag you down.

Lol thanks for the bleak outlook. I'm pretty sure I'll come across it again. I didn't get a chance to even test it so it was no huge loss. Fury of the Veil yo. You shouldn't be kicking ppl for the skill they use unless it's Spirit Mark. I play with all kinds of awkward builds (barrierless keeper, ranged AW, barrier/FWless Ele). I just did a Turian Cabal build with the Ele using Winter's Grasp, Fade Step, Fade Cloak, and Barrage. Flashpoint let's you get double-dash on Fade Step. The other players were like "dude... wtf". One of them was playing AW and getting a little jelly that another kit was faster them him at sprinting around the board. I hardly if ever play with AoE spells on my kits. Even my awkward builds have no problem dishing out the deeps. It's about how you play it.

 

As a matter of fact I was planning to do a vid of it because it was kinda fun to play.

Not complaining. I had awful luck on a massive amount of credits in ME3MP as well. It is what it is with the RNG.

Hahahahah,  you don't know me very well, you should read my responses in the SM thread. That's one of the skills I tell new necros to get, after ensuring they have HoK for self-revives.

 

Not that I need any excuses to kick people in public games, but it is entirely fair to kick people for not bringing necessary skills for team balance. It is pugs after all, and you can go pug elsewhere if you don't like a coordinated team.

Done all of those (even suggested no barrier keeper to others), know how they play, and I'd be asking what's on the skill bar before making a judgement call. Believe it or not, I've done crazy teams like Three Katari and Reaver on Perilous and succeeded. Key point is to ensure the party has the necessary tools to survive, the biggest of which is communication and cooperation. If someone's not willing to talk back in a lobby, or outright refuses to bring other kits or skills, move to where the team needs them, then they need to leave. No one is going to have a good time if one guy wipes everyone else.

 

Given perilous difficulty punishes players for uncoordinated play, and rewards teamwork, weeding out the non-communicative / uncooperative players makes for a MUCH more fun time.

 

Even my awkward builds have no problem dishing out the deeps. It's about how you play it.

 

Actually no, it is first lag (or lack of it), then team coordination x stats x skill x build.You'd lose out to optimized builds left and right, but it isn't like you have completely trash skills all together.That turian cabal build would kill do fine on threatening / below but on perilous dps is medicore and needs allied help with CC / coordinated pulls. EB is pretty trash in general.

 

WRT Pug AW's, I have no respect for them, as my combo king build without spirit blade is superior in so many ways with a modest amount of skill and learning curve increase. Damage, DPS, Survivability, Incapacitate Primers, Detonates, and even more exp at the round end.

 

I hate trash skill worship (immolate on eles & CL on keepers, FD on archers, FS/SB on AW, Blizzard on Necro etc) and the cookie cutter builds out there that just suck. If you do want to bring a build that's new and inventive I'd listen to it in lobby, but some skills are just terrible.

 

I have alternate builds to cookie cutters too, but they are not just for style, they are dangerously efficient and do better.
