How hard is it to be a VA? I don't think it's as demanding as acting in a tv series but then I'm just guessing.
Contrary to tv, your physical appearance won't matter at all. You could be old and play a young girl, or the opposite. You could be ugly and play the most beautiful women of the earth in a game, or you could really be a top model and play an ugly witch. So, obviously, that part is easier for the actors&actresses.
Then, there's absolutely no makeup. So no one sits on a chair for 6hrs before shooting for 20 minutes. That is also easier.
When it comes to performance though, it's got to be harder becauseyou only have your voice to carry your emotions. You can't rely on your body expression, you can't rely on your eyes, you can't rely on any makeup/special effect to carry the tension of the moment, it's all in your voice. So no, I don't think it's easier than acting in a tv series. But it probably pays less too, wich is why lesser known actors&actresses usually tend to do voice work on animes&video games. Why do it when you can earn 20M$ for a single movie?
