I do really wish that banter would fire off more, much of my travels through the wilderness is silent. And I miss having trigger spots in town, that allowed me to get banter from combinations I don't use in combat.
Bioware's strengths as a company, and why party banter MUST fire more in future games

Woops. I admit to not even looking at when the last post was made. This was one of the top hits when I tried googling "increase banter", and at that point I was so mad I just needed to vent. Like, this has really ruined Bioware for me. I'm not exaggerating when I say that companions and the party banter are one of the top 3 reasons why I loved the DA and ME games. I never got into Skyrim specifically because I found it kinda boring to travel around in silence without a party. And yet thats exactly whats happening in DA:I. Its ridiculous that I have to jump through hoops and play with a timer to get one of the biggest features of DA.
In the end, I downloaded the Cheat Engine and set the banter to a hotkey. This game has 0 replay value for me so I've just been spamming it so I can hear everything. Now that I actually get to experience it, the banter is really great and its a real freaking shame that most of us will never hear most of it :/

You could have checked the banter compilation on YT instead. Probaly more convenient if you're not into playing the game.

I agree with the fact that BioWARE needs more banter. But more importantly, it needs to recapture the magic of two conflicting viewpoints on the same topic. They did do some of that with Inquisition, but I felt like there was more of it in their earlier work.

I haven't heard any banter, barely had maybe 30 occurrences over 8 full playthroughs. I had to look up most of it on youtube. I had to go to a third party website to experience content that I own. 6 hours worth of content. I still can't do the Solas sidequest.Trust me when I say it's hard for me to be motivated to care about any characters when my experiences with them are so limited.
How is this acceptable? For a company that boasts of its developed characters and lore, to overlook this is frankly embarrassing. Or at least they should be embarrassed.
Please, just make your next game without crucial content ruining bugs.
