Fluffyninjallama's uploaded every scenario that exists in this exchange on Youtube...but can the next patch focus on fixing scenes like this, please? It's not firing correctly for a LOT of people.

I don't think that you know how much these 20 second exchanges mean to people, Bioware!

It seems like a lot of the ambient dialogue type stuff is screwed up still. This, adviser/messenger banter, some of the stuff you're supposed to overhear about Cole, all the weird problems with companion banter, etc. Hopefully it all gets fixed eventually.

I was under the impression these were disabled on purpose but the video seems to suggest otherwise.

You guys sure do love your dialogue lol.

But I heard that you'll have to meet certain requirements. Like you must complete Wicked eyes and start Here lies the abyss but do not finish it, but I could be wrong or maybe its just a glitch.

Oh holy hell, someone actually got the Loghain one to trigger! I'm so freaking jealous!

Yeah, I know it's a tiny thing, but I wish these scenes were easier to get.

Edit: Apparently, the person who made the video edited his/her save file in order to force the scene to trigger.

Leliana started talking about Kieran in my playthrough where he didn't even exist.

Good lord.  I played my whole game in particular order to make sure I had both Alistair and Morrigan at the keep at the same time.  Had them there for hours and hours of playtime.  Visit each of them separately each time I go back to Skyhold.  I have mined out everything they have to say to me.  Still nothing.  I assume some people have gotten this to trigger naturally?

Some people have gotten the conversations between Morrigan and Alistair to trigger naturally, yes.

I know your pain. Been trying to get a romanced Alistair to talk to Morrigan with no success. Interesting they had to do some manipulation to get it to trigger.

THAT FIRST VIDEO.....I've been trying to hear that conversation and I tried every possible combination and it never happened. It's kind of sad how awkward they both feel about it. Alistair doesn't look like he wants to touch Kieran with a 10ft pole. I'd like to think that my Warden would've like to meet Alistair's son. If anything to see how much it changed Morrigan.

Thanks for posting about this!

Finally got to see this in game, but I had to edit my save file to do it. WORTH IT!

How did you do that? If I can get it to play then I might not do the wardens before the winter palace

I'll tell you how to do it, but you have to alter your save files, so be VERY CAREFUL.

And if you're playing the game on a console, you won't be able to do this, either.

I picked out a save between finishing the Winter Palace and just before Adamant.

FluffyNinjaLlama was nice enough to offer these instructions in the comments of the video above: "You have to set BOOL flag 8793907F8149A345BFFE7BFAE33101A2 from False to True"

I used the save game editor by Ehamloptiran found here: http://daitools.free...flags-t277.html

Ehamloptiran's Warning: "Be warned, very little checking going on, so very easy to break things, always backup and dont save over the same save."

After backing up all my save files, I used the editor to change my save file as described. I fast-traveled to the garden, and the scene triggered on the first try.

Nice! Sadly, I'm SOL being a console peasant. ;) YouTube will have to suffice for me.

So, has someone managed to trigger any of these versions (morrigan + alistair or loghain) on PC without some save-edits or other scripting tricks or mods?

I had a keepstate with alistair as warden and the father of kieran, then I did part of crestwood and winter palace quest to get both of them to skyhold. After that, nothing much happened.

I tried talking with them, I tried not talking with them, I tried travelling to other areas then back and nothing happened. Then I just ignored them and did varous other areas and occasionally checked them, still nothing. Eventually I got bored and did the adamant quest so alistair was not available after that.

If I had to guess, its bugged somehow or I just cannot figure out how to trigger it.

Bioware seems intent on not fixing a single thing their fans point as actually being a problem.

What makes these games amazing to me is the effort on personal relationships, good or bad, not just running around and killing everything so YES after the hundreds of hours spent playing these characters I want the 30 second scene to trigger between Alistair and Morrigan etc. or the oneliners to acknowledge them in some way. To me that should be as important as any cutscene with new relationships.  I have spent hours trying to get it to trigger to no avail...very frustrating....and from the vidoes (thank you for sharing) it's just an overheard conversation.  Fail.  Would be nice if someone other than Dagna mentioned what the Warden did for her and the effect it had on her.  Lelianna and Morrigan just say they fought with the HOF, lame.  Cullen only mentions the Warden if they were a mage but he met each one and they saved his butt so that is disappointing to me.  On PC if Alistair dies in the fade only Varric mentions it.  Also find it odd that if Alistair is King the calling doesn't seem to affect him, business as usual.  Poor Conner (if you put the effort into saving him) is sad but if you side with mages would be nice if you saw him at Skyhold and there were some missions for the mages like the templars rather than just having them standing around complaining. Sad that Bioware doesn't get that  My 5 minute vent is over...thanks!  lol

I agree - part of the charm of these games is the relationships that build. Why bring back cameos and have them so empty. I am not asking for massive dialogues.  A few more sentences for Alistair as King with the Quizzy, some chat between Hawke and Alistair who met in Kirkwall, acknowledgment that Alistair, Hawke, Morrigan and Lelianna all knew Cullen ( Hawke even considered him a friend) and depending on your party - Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana could have been involved in saving his life. Nada, Nothing. Zip, Zero

Sucks!

For me - I want some acknowledgement that my rogue Hawke was at Ostagar if Loghain is her Warden contact. She and Aveline had some pretty strong feelings on the matter of Ostagar in Dragon Age II, and for Loghain to suddenly be her Warden contact floored me, especially when the two of them were acting as though the only bad blood between them was the Wardens' blood rituals.

I understand this isn't a consideration for a mage Hawke, but nonetheless, it would have meant something to me if this detail had not been omitted for non-mage Hawkes.

I would have to make a dedicated keepstate for that conversation to trigger in the first place, but I am planning on doing it...

But probably AFTER a patch has fixed it. While I love me some more Alistair/Morrigan action, I'm lazy and still can't be arsed to edit save files.

Don't care about their meeting it cannot happen if Kieran doesn't exist, and i don't waste countless of hours just to trigger a scene for 30 sec, what i believe is scene like this are purely fan service, the same people continue to jump all over the world to met each other at every major catastrophe.

Erm, duh.

Good for you, no one is asking you to.

what i believe is scene like this are purely fan service

What is wrong with fan service? People throw those words around like it's a bad thing.

the same people continue to jump all over the world to met each other at every major catastrophe.

I didn't see anyone jumping. Well, perhaps the Inquisitor.
