What is wrong with fan service? People throw those words around like it's a bad thing.

 

 

 

The Fan service often create a sort of disconnection between the main character of the specific game (this happened in DAII too)

who don't even care so deeply about the "returning" characters 

The quest "here lies the abyss" where most players based their decision on who they like the most from the previous titles or if they were old romance interest,when their Inquisitor should have been completely indifferent.

I do believe that fan service as well as returning characters steal spotlight from the actual story,after all is the story of the Dragon Age not the story of the returning characters.

Leliana started talking about Kieran in my playthrough where he didn't even exist.

 

And in the playthrough where I romanced Morrigan but did not do the DR, Morrigan was alone in the ending slide as if Keiran never existed or she had left him in Skyhold.

To bump an old topic, I cant guarentee this is 100% fixed but should be fixed in some situations (with latest patch)

Although NOW I'll have to restart all my current saves to actually see these scenes since I've past them in my playthroughs...*siiigh* THE RIDE NEVER ENDS!!
