It was probably mentioned somewhere but the hours counted by origin is not accurate. If I leave the game running but don't play, it counts that as game time. And in offline mode it doesn't count it. So who knows what it really is

The point is that you left the game running. It is impossible for Origin to know if you are actively playing the game. Origin can only assume you are playing the game.

That's always true for the game clock. It's like buying a game and never playing it which apparently (!!) happens.

Leviathan didn't come out until like five or more months after ME3. Inquisition dlc will probably be March or April, maybe later.

I'm looking for news, not a release this very moment.

If the identical release schedule is used as DA2, you would hear about DLC, first week of April, appearing mid-April (with a couple of weeks for holiday season). Mass Effect's dlc took even longer as the Extended Cut (arguably a patch rather than a dlc) got in the way, 6 months post launch.
DAO's 'Return to Ostagar' was quicker at 2 1/2 months, but was arguably a re-skin of the original location with snow.
This is how BioWare do it, and with the positive critical reception, press reception will be warm, and there's an even greater expectation that players will periodically come back to the game.
Not aimed at you, but this forum is very comfortable with shouting both of the following conflicting messages:

  • Where's the game / dlc / patch etc - we want it now !!!! and
  • It sucks, it was rushed, it was released 'broken'
BioWare should release dlc when they are good and ready - I don't blame them for not talking about it !  :D

Legacy was released about 4 months after launch, not announced. And it was announced and released during a less competitive time. Inquisition has so much AAA competition.
That being said, there is no standard BioWare DLC release schedule so comparing it to previous games is pointless.
And most complaints against BioWare these days are entirely valid. They do deliver broken games that have to be fixed.

Hopefully the smaller DLCs will be modeled after Legacy and MOTA, for all of DA2's faults I thought the DLCs were handled alot better than Origins.  :)

Still crossing my fingers for a proper expansion though, all in good time

The announcement usually occurs not long before the dlc comes out, so I would expect any new until at least the end of March or early April at the absolute earliest.

Ah yes, thanks for providing a point I missed, the fact that BioWare have been attending to a few patches is another reason why it is even less likely that DLC will be early. They should naturally have been dealing with those first.

BioWare tend to announce DLC 2-3 weeks ahead of time, once they know they can hit an announced release date.

Asking for an announcement at the start of February is severely premature. An announcement late March, April or later is more likely.

EDIT

Yep, Legacy was announced July 7th, released, July 26th (19 days)

Leviathan has a slightly longer period. Announced Aug 2nd, launch date confirmed Aug 15th, released July 28th (26 days)
