I've never noticed mana surge going off on anyone I gave a barrier to with my keeper, but today while i was playing on my assasin I kept spluging enemies and getting free attacks thanks to the keeper in the party.
Only reference I could find was this reddit post http://www.reddit.co...h_your_barrier/
But maybe they ninja buffed it?
