After looking into the story of the elven gods and how they fell made me believe that the old gods are actually the same, now in the codex on the constellation draconis that it may be the eighth old god including solas that means there are 9 accounted for.
Now many of the old god and elven gods are worshiped for the same things toth and sylase are worshiped as deities of fire, mythal is the elven god of love and andorral is the god of slaves but there's a holiday dedicated to marriage in his honor(why would the old god of slavery also have a celebration of love in his honor), falodin the elven god who guides the dead also famed for making others dominate others to worship him for his vanity and urthmiel was the old god of beauty. Dirthamin the elven god keeper of secrets and Razikel the old god of mystery. also in the myth of the void wolf talks about the rival gods of the elven gods being banished to the void while the elven gods were buried in the world. (who does that sound like.) so my conclusion the maker may be the enemies of the elven gods/old gods and is using the blight to destroy there rivals before their return.
