After looking into the story of the elven gods and how they fell made me believe that the old gods are actually the same, now in the codex on the constellation draconis that it may be the eighth old god including solas that means there are 9 accounted for.

Now many of the old god and elven gods are worshiped for the same things toth and sylase are worshiped as deities of fire, mythal is the elven god of love and andorral is the god of slaves but there's a holiday dedicated to marriage in his honor(why would the old god of slavery also have a celebration of love in his honor), falodin the elven god who guides the dead also famed for making others dominate others to worship him for his vanity and urthmiel was the old god of beauty. Dirthamin the elven god keeper of secrets and Razikel the old god of mystery. also in the myth of the void wolf talks about the rival gods of the elven gods being banished to the void while the elven gods were buried in the world. (who does that sound like.) so my conclusion the maker may be the enemies of the elven gods/old gods and is using the blight to destroy there rivals before their return.

The Old Gods are the Maker's annoying country cousins.

Believe it.

It's worth noting that Solas pretty emphatically says that "nothing in any lore connects my people to the Old God dragons which became archdemons." Whether we believe him is another story.

I think the Old Tevinter Gods may very well be similar to Cory's dragon, but much much more powerful. Meaning they were the "Pets" of the elven gods and contained a piece of their soul

I don't thing obvious parallels between elven gods and old gods really make them all that likely for there to exist a connection. The idea of being imprisoned, perhaps, but other than that it's just human (or elven, which is not that different, I think) nature at work. There are important elements that seem to "deserve" a god - and so a god they shall have. Things like fire or love, or justice - when we take a look at our real-life backyard we find out that there are lots of parallels between various pantheons. I'm pretty sure it's about the same with Old Gods and elven pantheon.

PS:

andorral is the god of slaves but there's a holiday dedicated to marriage in his honor(why would the old god of slavery also have a celebration of love in his honor)

According to Wiki, Andorals three titles were:

- The Old God of Unity
- The Dragon of Chains
- The Dragon of Slaves

It can be deduced that slaves wasn't his only thing - he most likely was more generally a patron-god of order, with bonds - voluntary or not - being an important aspect of that. So he would be a patron of slaves and slavery, yeah, but also of vows, loyalty, unity, codes of honor and codes of law and, yes, marriage.

I'm going to go with "Not believing."  That's exactly the kind of leading half-truth Solas loves to employ.

Honestly, the more I think about all the things, the more I've become certain that the Old Gods are the Elven Gods, locked in the "holy form" of the dragon.  Moreover, it occurred to me today, and I have found nothing outside of Chantry hearsay to contradict this, that the Old Gods are already blighted, that they are already effectively Archdemons while trapped in their prisons underground.

Our only source for the idea that the Old Gods become blighted when the darkspawn find them is Chantry teachings.  I just watched all the conversations with the Architect on YouTube - he never mentions Urthemiel becoming blighted, only trying to use his joining to free them.  Think about it - the Old Gods are the ones that lured the Magisters of old into the Black City to be blighted, and they're the ones calling on the darkspawn to come free them.  What makes more sense as a reason for this than if the Blight already has them?  How could they use the Calling to effect all of this if they're not already Blighted?

This also changes the reasons for why things happened.  Arlathan being sealed away in the Fade as the Golden/Black City, the Old Gods being imprisoned beneath the earth - this wasn't trickery, malice, or punishment, it's quarantine.

I like the idea of old gods not being imprisoned but being quarantined instead...

I don't think Solas ever outright lies
